The ref.'s tried to take KSU out Pullen had a different plan.

Great win for the 12, keep it up Frank one game from the final 4.

So who is to blame on the last defensive play in regulation for KSU?

Clemente for not doing a better job of fouling?

The refs for totally ignoring the situation and Clemente?

Mayweather for not having a clue?

Martin for not making it clear what the expectations were out of the huddle?

I think it is a mix of Clemente not fouling hard enough, the ref not paying attention, and Mayweather just being totally oblivious to the situation or where he was on the court...

I think everyone deserves some of the blame, immaterial in my opinion. Ref missed Clemente's foul, but Denis didn't help himself by not going for the ball and instead lightly grazing the ball handler. As for Mayweather's foul...lol, man that's why I don't coach. Felt bad for the guy, heard he is actually pretty intelligent but that was a dumb play.

Clemente has gotta make a play on the ball so it takes the ball handler's advantage away, then the official would have been forced to call it.

i think clemente could have done more by fouling holloway harder than just wrapping his arms around the guys waist. normally that is called in the first 39:30 of a game, and obviously the trailing job did a horrible job by not seeing clemente his wrap up, but if you are gonna foul it's gotta be easily noticed. or basically anything my man camp just said. lol.

could any fault be put on kansas state by not telling the refs they planned on fouling so look out for it? maybe they did, and if so, that ref should never work an ncaa tourney game again.

So we were watching the game at Buffalo Wild Wings... and were asking if there were any way to distract the ref so it could continue. We didn't want it to end.

We were doing the same thing. I was devasted to find out that Gus Johnson was the announcer (no sound where I was) I am surprised his head didn't explode when Crawford made that shot from the hash mark.

One problem, and I don't know if they didn't do this, is you have to tell the officials your plan. Tell them you are going to foul when they cross half court. Some, who don't know what they are talking about, might say "but then it's an intentional foul." No.

At first sight it looked like the backside ref botched the call, but when you see the replay it looked like the ref didn't have a good angle to see when Clemente tried to foul. Furthermore, Clemente was not blatant enough and should have tried to make more of a play on the ball. If Coach Martin didn't tell the refs they were planning on fouling, then with all things considered the ref that missed the Clemente foul should be given the benefit of the doubt.
