Since there were so many transfers this off-season, I thought it would be worth occasionally updating how they are all doing at their new schools. Manek, Harmon, and Kur all started tonight, and Brady was especially effective. Wake plays tomorrow and I expect Alondes to start, too. So all four guys starting in major conferences, two for ranked teams. I guess Manek didn’t make a poor decision in deciding not to go to ORU as some suggested he should lol

Kur scored 7 points on 3 of 6 shooting and also had a couple of boards plus 3 blocks. Harmon scored 15 points on 4/15 shooting (3/10 from 3 point), 4/4 free throws and had 3 rebounds, 2 assists and a pair of steals.

So 4 former Sooners went 20+ in their first game, and another went for 15. Several are starters at their new schools. That seems impressive.

Glad to see Harmon, Manek and Kuath do well for their new teams, but I wish those guys (especially) were still Sooners.

thanks for starting this thread ... it will be interesting to follow ..

some of these guys i don't care at all about .. (Mcgusty)

and some i wish nothing but the best .... (Manek)

and lots of guys in between ..

Awesome! Thank you

i can't believe mcgusty and shepard are still around lol. seems like ages ago

McGusty is still playing. Heck, he was on our team prior to Trea. He has to be about 25. LOL

Guessing Manek played 3/4…? His natural position. Not asked to play the 5 …
Kind of like Jacob… hopefully PM doesn’t put him in the 5 spot.

Amazing what can happen when ya play the position that is natural to you.

You'd be wrong. Manek started at the 4 and played about half the time at the 5 spot. In no way shape or form would Manek ever be a 3, and he will not play the 4 when the other team has a quicker guy out there.

he played the 4 and 5 .... the 3 has never been his natural position

Even now that Lon is gone after a decade of success, we’ll still see posts suggesting he didn’t know what he was doing. Amazing he won so many games when he wasn’t even smart enough to figure out where to play guys lol.

And you couldn’t be more right in noting that Manek is, and never has been, a 3. Thank you to you and BC for pointing this out.

Guess y’all didn’t see the ? at the end of 3/4…

Didn’t watch unc…so he played the 5 there as well? Interesting

he played a ton of 5 ... more than half of his min i would guess ..

in the preseason most UNC reporters though manek and stone(i think) were fighting for the starting spot at the 5 .. and in the exhibition game manek didn't start

for game one they just went ahead and started both of them
