game day OU vs UTRGV 6pm CST FSOK

I think that was just a coincidence. Both the radio and TV crews said it was something they had focused on since the holiday, and Lon mentioned in pregame that ball movement and shot selection were things he wanted to see improve. Now we need it to become the norm!

Please be so! The one on one church ball has been unwatchable. Make them do it Lon!

Great! Thanks for the suggestion. I'll check it out.

Also, thanks for the info soonerinkc and for not being a douche like some other guys. LOL.

Well I can be... I guess.

When I first got satellite YEARS ago, I used my cousin’s address as location so I could get the “local” Fox... southwest vs Midwest... they didn’t sell all of them. Course that meant watching OKC news vs KC...lol

I am in NW Houston and hanging on to Uverse with a vice grip. I have the lowest package, U200, but it includes FSOK. Get tons of OU content, including all the non con home bball games. I will be devastated if they ever drop it, or if they get taken over by someone who doesn't offer it(which I heard awhile back Direct TV was going to do).

Listened to the first half whilst traversing I-35. Recording the replay and hoping to watch in full tomorrow.

Very excited about the early energy from Kuath. That's two games in a row he's shoved it up my hind quarters. But I won't be a believer until I see some sort of consistent production in conference play. That was great!

His FT shooting was a pleasant surprise. Pretty smooth

my favorite play of kur’s was when he went to the floor for a loose ball. loved it.

Wish there was a way to play Doo, Manek, and Kuath at same time

I totally agree. We are struggling finding consistency with the third guard spot and with rebounding. Putting Doo at the three Manek at the four and Kur at five might solve both problems

We played much better with much better ball movement in this game. Bieniemy saw the ball go through the hoop which hopefully will give him some confidence going into conference play. This was a nice warmup.

On the negative side, it's hard to fathom what is going on with Doolittle. The only senior on the team and the best player gets suspended for "conflict of team interests?" This does not bode well and really doesn't make much sense.

In preseason I think i warned this would be a problem. Our two best players play the same position. But as bad as the guards have played, I don't think we'd be any worse off if Doo played wing.
We desperately need Kuath's height for defense and rebounding but I really don't think he'll get many minutes in conference play. He looks good against the UTRGV's but he'll get exposed against Big 12 talent.

Played well and ball movement & player movement was much improved. Manek was really good, as was Kur. I still think Kur is going to be best at coming off the bench & PT comes more with matchups. He still jumps too much & fumbles passes. Foot speed looks better & he brings something no one else can bring, except Vic but he looks lost a lot. All the guards I thought played well, Hill really looks like he’s coming on. Reaves only forced 2 shots & after the first he got pulled.

Overall I thought is was a great game without Doo, really curious as to what he did.

Just saw bits and pieces.....I will watch on the DVR tomorrow. But from what little I saw, Kuath looked better. I wish we could get that from him night in and night out. It also appeared that we took better shots on the whole. I understand Doo didn't play because of a suspension.....which is alarming to me. We will see if this helps in the confidence department.

At times, Reaves looks like he could be PG in the NBA. He really has some skill in his game and we he doesn't force the issue....he can be one of the top players on the court at any time.

I just hope he finds his outside shot soon. Then he has it all.

He is the biggest question mark for me heading to conference play. When he stays within himself & quits trying to make a play every time he touches the ball he’s good. But he isn’t good enough on the defensive end to play bad offensively. Bienemy does so many things well even if his shot is off he still contributes to winning.

This.

Reaves is good, but I think he would be a much better player if he stopped trying to win the game on his own. He’s a terrific three point shooter when he spots up and delivers the ball in rhythm. His numbers from the three have been down so far because he’s looking to drive instead of playing to his greatest strength.

Maybe that is what he has been told to do? CJ and Odomes did that, too. But they never had the reputation of being an outstanding spot up shooter like Austin.
