Is capel feeling any heat?

I just can't subscribe to the, "Don't go to the games" style of protest. In the end it might force a change, and it might not.

Ultimately, the only thing your sure to accomplish is to give our players less of a home court advantage than the other teams in the conference. I think that sucks.

But, it's certainly your right.

Like I said, I can't speak for the poster, but for me, it wouldn't have been about "protesting", but rather "that's X amount I'm spending that can go elsewhere because I'm sick of the product".

I guess if that constitutes as a protest, then so be it, but to me a protest would be more like buying tickets and not going or giving them to somebody else to use because then the arena is empty.

"After about 5 years it is apparent that Capel can't coach. The players look lost" I remember reading this all the time when Kelvin was coach. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

The players look lost because they aren't very good. Quite frankly, I think Capel has been a far better coach this year, than last. You'd never know though, because he has nothing to work with. Which, of course, is his fault.

But because I do see fundamental improvement, albeit without victories, i'm willing to give him another year. He'll have enough talent next year to have a fair shot to make or break his tenure at OU.

I'd say that assessment is more fair and accurate than about 97.5 percent of the posts made by the "Fire Capel" crowd.
