Jamuni McNeace Faith 7 Game (tonight)

You're right, the Faith Seven game is never a match up of the best players in Texas against the best in Oklahoma. It's been that way for as long as I can remember. Still, the completion is good enough to get a good idea about how a kid will perform at the next level.

It really is unfortunate that it's turned out that way. I saw guys like Stacey King, Ryan Minor, Kermit Holmes, Bo Overton and a few other D-1 types play in it back in the day.

Yeah the year I played Rashard Lewis from the Heat was going to play and at the last minute backed out for Texas.

that is the year he went to the draft .. i'm sure his handlers didn't want him gettting hurt ... or worse not playing well ..

I refereed a JV tournament in Houston that Rashard Lewis played in during his sophomore year. I couldn't believe he wasn't on the varsity.

I still remember him crying in the green room at the NBA draft because the Rockets didn't draft him with 1 of their 3 1st round draft picks. They picked up Bryce Drew from Valpo (Scott's little brother) and some guy from Turkey named Mirsad Turckan who never played a lick in the NBA.
