Anybody have a different link to watch the video? I made it like 5-seconds in and turned it off because it sounded like conspiracy theories from a bat**** crazy lady. A few of my colleagues mentioned it, and said they made it a few minutes in but turned it off for the same reason. I'll quickly watch through it tonight if it's on something like youtube that can be played at double speed.

Think of all of the painstaking research and work that allowed things like measles and polio and smallpox to be completely eradicated (more or less) from this planet. Think of all the time and effort those undertakings encompassed.
And then think about people who cast their lot with Jenny McCarthy in the fight against vaccines. I know she's hot, I watched Singled Out when I was a kid, but c'mon.
Think about that for a minute. That's what we're dealing with, and that fringe is growing every single day.

That isn't really fair and i cant comment for everyone but comparing covid and smallpox/measles/polio is ridiculous. The death rates for those are so much higher the covid. Without a vaccine, the deathrate of covid is similar to the deathrate of the flu with a vaccine.Think of all of the painstaking research and work that allowed things like measles and polio and smallpox to be completely eradicated (more or less) from this planet. I'm for vaccines when they are ethically sourced and have an actual need for the common good and when they work.
I'm not for vaccines being used like a guessing game and using fetal tissue form aborted babies or as a way of control...i.e. you can't leave your house if you aren't vaccinated.
It should be a choice. If you want to protect yourself and your family, get a vaccine. if you want to risk it, risk it
So you don't think we should develop a vaccine for a disease that has already killed, as of today, 76,000 Americans, at least, and counting? That's just plain nuts.
Vaccines should not be a choice because what you are doing is risking the health of others because of your conspiracy theories about vaccines.
And the "fetal tissue" thing is a red herring. They use cell lines that originated from fetal tissue to make some vaccines, but those cell lines are many many many generations removed. These are called immortalized cell lines.

I think they can. But it shouldn't be required. So you don't think we should develop a vaccine for a disease that has already killed, as of today, 76,000 Americans, at least, and counting? That's just plain nuts.
So by me not getting a vaccine while you do get it is endangering you how exactly?Vaccines should not be a choice because what you are doing is risking the health of others because of your conspiracy theories about vaccines.
and? My belief is that it is unethical and immoral regardless of how long it has been. Time doesn't diminish immoral actsAnd the "fetal tissue" thing is a red herring. Listen, Typhoid Mary, when the public health is threatened a vaccine can be mandated. Anti vaccine people are ignorant and that ignorance is very dangerous. If you can’t see the value of a vaccine, then you’re being ignorant, willfully or not.

Do you think the flu vaccine should be required? Why or why not?
Do you think the flu vaccine should be required? Why or why not?
Negative. Your "choice" to not get a vaccine may spread it to others.. therefore, your freedom to make that idiotic "choice" is not just affecting you.. if you would choose that and then only go outside in a bubble then id be all for your choice.
but if everyone gets the vaccine that wants it, why is this an issue?
Get the vaccine if you want protected. Don't if you don't.
