You don’t think there’s racism within the NFL?

Idk. There prolly is. Racism isnt the boogey man. It happens everyday by all colors of people. Is it a pervasive systemic problem in the nfl? Hell no. So now what? Or better yet, what was the point in this?

A coach, a black coach, expresses his opinion that theres not (i.e. thats its not a big problem.) And ABD wants him fired lmao

Someone asked the question, I answered, then you chimed in demanding answers that were already stated.

I'll stop you right there. I don't think you can.

Racism has been around nearly as long as man has. It doesn't just exist in the good old US of A either. It exists anywhere and everywhere there is a mix of races. You think Europe doesn't fight the same things? I just don't think there is anything people can do or say that is going to change the opinion of those that are racist. I really don't.

I've been Reading immaculee ilibagiza's book about the rwanda genocides. And it has prompted me to meditate on what you just posted. Racism has and will continue to exist in every society with no regard for color. It is simply hating someone that is different and especially if they are a minority or not in power. You can never get rid of it. What we should strive for is ways to educate against it, break stereotypes, and dissolve systematic racism.

In particular to the US, I truly believe that each generation gets less racist. You probably wouldn't no it by watching the news though.

My point is cops are killing black men who are complying and not being aggressive, theY are actually being overly compliant, then the cop(s) get found not guilty. How many times do I have to say this to you?

I'm a stats guy.

Do you have a stat to show that this is true?

I know there are a handful of situations that this has happened.

But you could also find situations that this happended with nonblack people as well.

If you have data, I will concede the point.

The data I have says 9 unarmed black men were killed last year by cops. Nine. Before you jump on me, yes I know there will be cases where a black man was armed but was not aggressive and did not deserve to be killed. But is there a number for that?

To me saying "cops are killing black men who are complying and not being aggressive" needs more proof than a couple terrible videos over the last several years.

Umm.....they are going to jail. A bunch of them. And the ones that aren't, it's because, despite what the media says, not a "bad shoot." I followed the Michael Brown case pretty intently. I honestly think he got exactly what he deserved, based on the evidence presented. That entire case makes me mad, and it kind of started this entire debate. The case that probably most heavily ways in favor of the cop, and the "hands up, don't shoot" is still used as a rallying cry, even though it was completely fabricated.

But I'd say over 50% are going to jail, and that doesn't mean the other 50% should be in jail. But to suggest there are a bunch of cops getting away with what happened in Minnesota, that is a flat out lie. That isn't happening.

You are correct IMO. Micahel Brown attacked the officer by mulitple accounts and did not have his hands up.

I'd be interested in what happened to the cops in cases that were clearly unjustified killings.

The worst I've seen is the cop that shot the black guy in an apartment hallway after yelling at him to cross his legs and crawl to him and that if he messed up once he was shooting him. i think that cop got off scott free

I've asked for examples and I'll ive seen is Kaep. Anything else?

The owners pushed Kaep out of the league, and gladly allow Richie Incognito to play... He called his teammate a half-black nig$er.

No black owners, 1 black GM, 3 black head coaches... some very questionable coaching hires (Kingsbury, Joe Judge, Lafleur, etc).

Pretty good convo on it.

Speaking of football, Tom Brady is likely the best QB to play the game. Thing is if a video of him was made showing him throwing interceptions, fumbling the ball, getting sacked, committing penalties, and overthrowing open receivers and this video was presented to those who don't watch football what would be their take? Would they believe he is the best at that position? Hell no! It takes a real dolt to not understand this take. People will draw conclusions from a couple of "cop being bad" videos and thus discern that all cops are bad. What arseholes.

There have always been questionable hires in football, hockey, baseball, basketball and every other aspect of life, sports related or not. Of the 3 coaches you highlighted you have not a damn clue as to whether they will succeed or not. Not a damn one. All you are going on is your opinion, which is not fact, which is not reality, but why would that be of consequence. Hello!

Thanks.

Why do you think that the number of GMs and HCs are a sign of racism?
Is the number of players that are black in the league a sign of racism?
What would be an acceptable number of coaches for it not to be a sign of racism?
I'm not saying you are wrong, just some questions for discussion.

I'm in agreement with you on Incognito. Dude is a psycho and has clinically diagnosed mental issues. He should NOT be playing. I fully expect he will be a guy who will off himself shortly after retirement.
