MSM referred to the pandemic as being no worse than the flu early on so that could pass for as a hoax.
I fully expect the death numbers from this uptick in cases to be less, or a smaller percentage, than it was earlier. Those most at risk are protecting themselves. Those less at risk are the ones operating as normal, and going to catch it. Honestly, that is probably the best way to fight it right now. Staying inside, shutting things down, that couldn't continue to happen with the majority of folks. Protect the elderly. Protect those with underlying risks. The rest probably need to clear it out through herd immunity.
We're not special, deaths will rise here as they have everywhere else in the country as the number of cases and hospitalizations go up.
He never said they wouldn't.
But the 18-49 age group is special compared to the 50+ age group.
The death rate should be much lower than the first wave.
Highly contagious diseases don't stay confined to one age group. Without a shutdown these people will spread the disease to every other group of people. It's that simple. Just look at Texas. Dallas had it's highest number of Covid-19 hospitalizations yesterday.
I know people keep saying that older people and the vulnerable will protect themselves but that's not possible without them completely quarantining, and I highly doubt that's going to happen.
I wish you'd post more. Your perspectives crack me up and make me think at the same time.I wish some of these posters took heart disease and cancer half as serious as they're taking COVID.
