Why can't we just debate the issue for what it is? He is being criticized for specific things. Are you saying the criticism is unfair?

I am really trying to understand the mentality here.

It seems to me that you are saying he can't be criticized by anyone other than people who openly support him. Any other criticism is invalid because the person doesn't like him to begin with, and the criticism is merely a byproduct of their bias against him.

Meaning, only Republicans can levy legitimate complaints or criticisms? Anything else is not be taken seriously or even considered.

Fair criticism is not the same as criticism based on animus. Show me one nation inflicted with the virus and the leader of that country did everything correctly.

I can show you a host of videos of where people were interviewed and told this person said "that" and what is your response. The thing is what was said was done by someone they supported, and they had no objection at the time, but when they were told someone else said it, someone they do not like, their response was overly critical. When they were informed the person who actually made the statement was someone they backed their response was one of "oh well." This happens all the time for people wear different glasses dependent upon who says what.

My brother is a staunch democrat. I told him children coming to this country via Mexico could get hurt falling off of trains they were hitching a ride on. He laughed at this and thought I was some kind of moron. I then showed him the video of Obama saying the same thing and of course he tried to back track. This is the pseudo-reality game which people love to play.

I don't think they'll be able to postpone it. Too much work to find venues a month down the road. If they cancel, and they will, I fear it will be cancelled entirely.

Of course they can. Even if small venues!

1. first of all you have a gross conceptual error in your understanding of epistemology. in court we consider evidence from contrary sources all the time. In fact, that is an actual hearsay exception. Just because someone doesn't like someone else doesnt mean what they're saying is invalid.

2. instead of arguing bias etc... why don't you talk about the facts? the man is a bold-faced liar and few are stupid enough to even deny that. lies breed insecurity through distrust. need I go further or do I have to spell this out for you in specificity? I understand you're a bit slow.

3. nothing he does is good enough? so this means you just lie and keep saying all is well? there's no logic to your stance.

Since my son graduated from Jenks, I hope they do play the games eventually. Rooting for Coach Martin, who is an NFL referee, BTW.

Yeah they'll play it. My complete guess is that they'll try for early April as long as this stabilizes by then. I don't think there's any way they cancel it.

I'm really interested to see what happens to kids in the state tournament who play other sports.

The CDC & WHO is telling us what they know factually, what they predict is coming, recommending the precautions we should take. The other simply isn't.

Is that really surprising to you? Anybody that has followed politics for the last couple of decades should know that. And it's getting worse. Almost no candidates anywhere close to the middle. All are extreme. And to combat "the other side", voters tend to have extreme thoughts as well.

We're well past the point of ever bridging the gap, IMO.

Yep, this is so true especially smaller schools. It seems like the larger schools, kids specialize in one sport, but smaller schools playing basketball will also be in baseball or running track.

Please spare me. I stated in a post two days ago that I was placing mail in the oven to kill off any contamination and you tell me that I am a minimizer, a diminisher, a person who doesn't take things seriously. In what world, dude. In what world.

Biden said 150 million people have perished from guns since 2007. He said Bobby Kennedy and Martin Luther King were killed in the 70's. He said that FDR went on tv to explain how he would deal with the depression at hand. Thing is there were no tv's in 1930. Now I see a person who is misinformed and that is how I see it. I would not and will not label him a liar like you choose to do.

If Trump said "Tom Brady is the best qb ever and has thrown for 50k miles" you would run around like a cackling chicken proclaiming he is a liar. Grow a pair!

Great point WT. It's been going on for a couple of decades, or longer. For those people that dislike Trump that wants to blame him, it is totally baseless. He participates in it over the top, but didn't create it. Remember Reagan/Tip O'Neill, Gingrich/Clinton, the divide over Bush/Gore?

If you like politics, as I do, a great read out there that talks about this. It's by the political bean counter on NBC for election coverage, Steve Kornacki. I don't necessarily like his personal choices or politics, but a good book.
