I know a lot of our discussion has focused on the Administration response and actions or the actual medical impact of this virus, but here is another angle we haven't talked about a lot, but as potentially devastating.
20% unemployment, which would be an increase of over 6x?? Mnuchin says it could happen without action.

the economic damage this is causing and will cause is worse than Covid-19
It appears the proper terminology is now the "Chinese Virus" according to recent Tweets and pressers.“Covid-19” literally stands for “Coronavirus Disease 2019” so yeah, not its scientific name, but it will do until a common name is coined.
I have no doubt this will be the case. Economic impact, and what that in turn results in, is going to be crazy. Bailouts (people and companies). The effect on small businesses. Stock market. Retirement. The trickle down effect of people losing jobs, not paying rent, and the strain that will cause on individuals that count on that rental income. Evict or not? Credit hits. How many people will get depressed and end their lives?
The list goes on and on.
It appears the proper terminology is now the "Chinese Virus" according to recent Tweets and pressers.
Lol.

Notice they thought to name it after place it originated in and thought that would stigmatize the village.
I guess we can start calling the influenza that wiped out millions in 1918 "The American Virus"
a little clue geography is not "racist"
