You work for the DOD, I defer to your expertise on the topic, but I have read many many words about the "F-35 boondoggle."

Just because you read it on the interwebs doesn't make it so,
Especially if you read it on Politico.

Hey, that rhymes! Look at me!

POLITICO<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<CENTER>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>TRUTH

That's good stuff raht dare, I don't care wut you say.

You should go back to your coloring books and let the adults talk.

This post, along with hundreds(?) more at this point, seem to indicate that you, and others, are in favor of this outbreak. Almost like you will be disappointed when this issue has ended. Like, your enjoying this whole situation. You wouldn't want all of this doom and gloom talk to come to fruition just to be...right, would you?

By the way, Pennsylvania is doing many of the same things all the other knee-jerk states are doing. Is it helping? Officially, I don't know but our infected numbers supposedly have doubled the last two days. You make the call.

I think my wife and a co-worker MAY have had this virus the first week of November. They had many of the same symptoms as The Wuhan. Five to ten days after my wife recovered, I started showing the same symptoms. I had a high fever for a week, aches, cough, tightness in my chest into mid December. No respiration problems. It sucked but not the worst illness I had experienced. However, prior to this one, I know I never had an illness like this one. All symptoms hit me within 24 hours.

My son came home for Thanksgiving break, about the time I had started to see improvement in my condition. He returned to school fine. He returned for Christmas break in mid December. One day before he returned home for break, one day after his first symptoms, he went to the doctor at school. He tested negative for the flu. He had the same symptoms. When he came home, he went to our family physician and was prescribed a Z-pack. His symptoms subsided much quicker than mine or the others I mentioned above. Could have been the meds, could have been his age.

I also question the claim of permanent lung damage to those who recover. IF what I had was The 'Rona, I have not recognized any changes in my respiratory function. I currently have a sitting heart rate of 55 and routinely jog a 7.5 minute mile with little exertion at 48 years old.

Moral of the story; I SURVIVED THE CHINESE FLU!!!!!(maybe)

"Everybody was Kung Flu fightin'"...Sing it with me...

The virus was first identified in North America in late January but you want us all to believe your family was infected back in November, before it was even epidemic in Wuhan? What test did you administer to come to this conclusion Sparky?
By the way, a Z-pack is an antibiotic, antibiotics are completely useless for viral infections. I’m sure you already knew this because of your medical expertise though. Keep posting all your amazing knowledge please!

Wow! So much wrong here. Where do I start? Any suggestions, Einstein?

NVM. I won't even begin. Your response doesn't warrant an explanation and you wouldn't understand.

And, since you asked,

Could Trump be right?! Read slow Stevie. You have proven time and again reading comprehension is not your strong suit.

Now, off to prepare to GO TO church.

This is uncalled for. And clearly not true.

Consider this your one and only warning

Actually azithromycin is being added to hydroxychloroquine in a lot of places for treatment of those with a confirmed case. Still experimental, but azithro does more than just kill bacteria.

Hey genius, have someone read that article you posted to you. The guy didn’t take a Z-pack. A Z-pack contains azithromycin, which is not a chloroquine. Also, just because the guy took chloroquine and now he feels better doesn’t mean the drug had anything to do with it. Again, correlation =|= causation. Without clinical trials and sound scientific studies, nobody will know if chloroquine is an effective therapy for Covid-19 and chloroquines are toxic and have severe side effects, so anyone that takes them should use extreme caution.

I know, but this guy is claiming that his son caught Covid-19 back in November and took a Z-pack and it cleared it up.

What’s funny about this story is that the guy doesn’t even know if he has Covid-19, but it’s proof! Lol

if you GO TO church then you are putting others at risk.

if you wish to endanger your own life or that of your family ... that's your choice. a horrid one, but your choice. however - risking that of others is not your choice. so stop and keep your &%# at home.

He doesn’t believe this is serious. He thinks it’s all a big joke or a liberal plot to undermine Trump.

Was speaking to my University of Texas friend again last night.... and he had a similar position. That people need to make their own choices on whether its safe to go to church, or Chilis, etc. If you don't think its safe, don't go.

I tried to make a comparison to drunk driving... Is that not like saying its your choice to drink and drive, and decide if that is safe for you or not? The problem with that logic is your choice to drink and drive endangers the safety and rights of other people on the road. Just as going to church, mass gatherings, eating at restaurants, and doing other things that can cause "the spread" are endangering others.

He said my comparison is not valid. Someone clear that up for me. If it's not valid, I can accept that.

Chances are the risk for every soul is different depending upon the circumstances at hand. If today were like every other day then it would not be prudent for some to leave their home because, invariably, some will unfortunately be involved in a car accident and possibly not make it back home at all, and, in the process, bring the same result to others. As individuals we are either risking spreading the virus or receiving it or neither. For the people who are hermits they will ask some "why didn't you do like me" and this likely applies to everyone you know including yourself. We all like to formulate our own circumstances in life and thus create our own excuses as to why our situation is different than others. We all do it in one form or another.

Days ago I mentioned sanitizing the U.S. mail, for example, and was scoffed at. At some point in time someone will become contaminated by the mail. I could then ask "why didn't you do like me." Anyways, grandma is demanding her New York Times crossword puzzle and I have to fire up the oven. It's a doozy of a paper. And I'm wondering if I should heat up the "food section" longer than the rest. It's just an idea. Stay safe everyone.

That’s a perfect analogy

In an ironic twist, Senator Rand Paul has tested positive for the novel coronavirus

I'm looking at the latest stats as of 2:30 PM EST on 03/22. We're up to 38,167 cases in the USA and 396 deaths. While I'm not trying to pass this off as good news, I believe people are slowly becoming less terrified as the death rate continues to decrease. Based on these numbers, we're down to only a shade over 1%. NY is doing the most testing and they're down to .5%. Once the dust settles, we'll likely be well under .5%. I don't know what the percentage is, but believe our leaders have a number in mind which they'll decide to open things back up - coupled with the leveling off of the number of cases.

Again, you can't calculate New York's mortality rate yet because they are in the infant stages of this. They literally have zero cases that have resolved other than the ones that died. Washington state's mortality rate is 5.4%. You can't tell what it's going to be yet nationally, but looks like it might be about 1.5%. This thing is still expanding logarithmically, I wouldn't expect things to be opened back up for at least 2 months, maybe longer.
