Didn't see it on Twitter, if I saw it there I would have shared it. Was at Baker's charity event for Meals on Wheels earlier today, heard about it from someone there. Soares got to hang with Baker last night, attending spring game tomorrow. PM using the big guns on this one.

I'll refer you to Bamisile, Joe or Groves, Jacob. We just don't know yet. I *hope* he's better, much better. But I've learned that you just can't predict this stuff.

In one season as the starter at Pitt.....he shot almost 70 more FT's than Tanner's two years at Oklahoma combined (221 to 157)

The injury last year for Hugley derailed his season...but if just showed up and played like he did 2 years ago he would be an upgrade in the paint.

As is generally true for me during portal season, I don't know much about Soares, but his stats aren't too promising. His percentage from deep would have tied for seventh on last year's Sooner squad and his overall shooting percentage would have ranked 11th on the team. He's solid at the charity stripe, but he averaged fewer than two free throw attempts per game. He would have been our best rebounding guard, so that's good.

And? I stand by my statement.

I acknowledge that sometimes players have to get more minutes to open up their games, but I will point out that T. Groves and Collins shared a pretty similar block rate per (insert your minutes number here).

I'm just glad somebody remembers to mention Bam on every page.

Sounds like he’s just not as good as his high school ranking.
