I wasn't suggesting he was a true 4, but he was an established player at the position with four years of experience in the country's toughest conference. Many posters assured us he'd be easily replaced and even improved upon. I'm just pointing out that's not necessarily the case.

In this league Jalen is a 4. In fact all of college basketball. Teams are playing and 5 out. That’s why you have the around the basket big men, struggling. OSU had a guy Tyreke Smith who would have been a classic 4 man 10 to 20 years ago, but lacks the versatility to play anything other than the 5. That court spacing is everything now.

I agree, but it’s also interesting that every time we do sign a player, you hype them up. Every time we miss on a guy, you downplay it. I don’t know or care much about the WR, but the basketball player would have really helped us. He is probably the best of the players we have been in on this cycle.

I actually live in the Corpus area. Saw them play this year. Kid is pretty good but he is only about 6'5" and not really a 3 point threat.

We’ve had a couple of pretty good 6’5 rebounders in the past… as long as their back side is an “axe handle wide”…we’re good.

The haters are going to have a field day if it is him. Mid-major forward with physical limitations, who balled against a 1 seed in the tournament and had all conference honors as well…sounds vaguely familiar…

I would much rather have Tyson (near perfect fit) but he would be a decent consolation at this point. He is basically a wash with Jalen Hill imo. Mushila actually played better against the pokes this year (1 game) than Jalen hill did (3 games). Also Mushila played well against bama (hill obviously played his best game against bama, too) and in the first four game.
