Soonerscoop just published an article that purported to be a discussion of who our remaining, realistic targets are. I’ll save everyone the mystery… it said no one has visited campus in two weeks, and indicated we likely are no longer in the running for any of the four men we have been pursuing. So … there’s that.

The article also wasn't exactly as negative about that situation as your post. It said the period the way it stands gives the staff a chance to figure out how to attack that, how they think they could use both scholarships and how other teams filling up quickly may give us an advantage moving forward. I guess every article is either a glass half full or half empty deal.

There were some good names who popped in the last week or so and some teams have starred to fill up....we may have some options that maybe weren't there a week or two ago. It will be interesting to follow.

I have no idea what the glass half full take on that could be. That would be like saying that if I got fired from my job, at least that gives me time to sit around and think about my options. Not even being connected with any names is not good, no matter how you spin it. Nor is it good that the article speculates we may be able to pick up some of the dregs once other schools have picked up the best options.

Lol we don’t have a single four on the roster. This can’t even be a serious question.

If we had a roster with 10 walkons and three two-stars, something tells me you’d find a way to claim things weren’t that bad. We have no one who any realistic basketball fan would consider a four on our team. If that’s not gaping, what is?

Of course the roster isn’t set. We will sign at least one more player. The question isn’t if we will find someone to fill out the roster. It’s whether it is simply a warm body or two, or someone who can actually help.

Recruiting aint Moser’s deal. Everyone wants to scapegoat the assistants like it’s their responsibility , but it’s ultimately Moser.

You can have a 4 guard lineup. A lot of teams across the country have that. However idk if any of these guards are tough enough or rebounds well enough to fill that 4 spot.

I think the plan is faster and more athletic.

Yes we are still trying for a 4 man big version. But soares Kooper Otega are gonna play some 4. Like it or not.

Gaping is no point guards or 5 man at all. We have those.

If Hill had stayed he’d be our starter at the four and we know he can play there. But, we also know he was not a true four and that he was overpowered by bigger, stronger fours at times.

It would be nice if we can sign a legitimate starting four before the season starts. If not, we’ll go with an undersized three, just as we would do if Jalen was still here.
