I think we both know what he meant, and that's why I deleted the post.
Malcom are you sure that you are watching the same TMG that everyone else is watching. His mechanics on his shot are very good. He is a threat at the point position because he can get into the lane and shoot or dish. I think the first thing we will notice about him is how much quicker our offense will run. In other words he will attack more. TMG will be the true point guard that all of us have desired for this team. I can't wait to see the TMG/WW backcourt. BOOMER SOONER BABY!!!:clap
Jai Lucas doesnt count, we know he was ranked that high due to connections etc. Same reason the stiffs who go to duke are always in the All American game and ranked in the top 30 etc.
I think it is more of a reference of how Duke has underachieved in the tournament in recent years. Also how the Duke teams of recent just don't seem to be fulled with the dominant players like they have had in the past.
I think he is a top 40 player. A high 4 star is about right, which is where he is. He still has deficiencies. I do like he will continue to shoot even if he is cold (MCDAA) but he still has mechanics problems that need to be fixed. Plus he gets out of control on fast breaks and when penetrating.
I'm definitely excited for him, but I think Rivals has it right.
No.. this is what you said. You are the first person i've seen say he has mechanics problems. Is this something you noticed or is this something you've read? No one else seems to think this about his shot.
Also, where did you get this he gets out of control on fast breaks stuff? Is this something you've noticed or is this something you've read?
I haven't read anything about either of these two "deficiencies" as you call them. Not saying that you are wrong... just want to know where it comes from.
I didn't say he was a bad player, just that he isn't a five star and that he still has areas of his game to work on.
...Fitz received offers from eight schools that played in the NCAA Tournament, and three of those programs made it all the way to the Elite 8.

Also it might have to deal with how Roy Williams and UNC is starting to hand it to them a lot more.
I find it hard to believe a guy can be player of the year in the Houston area for two years in a row, be a McDonald's All American, but only be the 46th best prospect in the country.
An excellent observation!
Probably the same way the Fred Gulley can be a two time Gatorade Player of the Year in Arkansas and not be ranked in the top 150.
If Penn wasn't going to OSU would any of you care where he was ranked? I doubt it.

Well, Fred Gulley sucks. He's not even one of the best two prospect in Arkansas. AJ Walton and Purifoy are better.
