Oklahoma Sooners are now 15-5 (3-4 in Big-12)

Next 5 games ...

Monday, Jan. 28: Baylor, 8 p.m.
Saturday, Feb. 2: at West Virginia, 11 a.m.
Monday, Feb. 4: Iowa State, 8 p.m.
Saturday, Feb. 9: Texas Tech, 3 p.m.
Monday, Feb. 11: at Baylor, 8 p.m.

It has been a long time since OU played 3 Monday Night games in a row.

I dont see us beating ISU. I think we can beat Baylor in Norman, Tech in Norman, and WV. The quetionable one is Baylor in Waco. 3-2 or 4-1. Now we'll probably go 2-3.

Really need to go 3-2 the next 5. Let’s start with a big win Monday night

Honestly non of those games are gimmies.

Great win today...BUT not going to go all hyped.

4/1 is the top
2/3 the bottom

Need a minimum of 3-2, with a win against Baylor at home, and splitting the other two road games and the two tough home games. 4-1 starts putting a high tournament seed back into play.

Comparison to last season ... after 20 games played ...

Record on January 27th
2017-18 ... 15-5 (5-3 ; Big-12)
2018-19 ... 15-5 (3-4; Big-12)

One year ago, on January 27, 2018 Oklahoma lost a road game at Alabama, just after beating Kansas in Norman. The next game was a home win over Baylor on 1/30/2018.

After starting 15-5 last season, the Oklahoma team finished the remainder of the season by losing 9 of its last 12 games.

I am hoping the Sooners can win 3 of the next 5 games, which would equal the 18 wins for the entire season last year.

They are all tough but they are all winnable. I feel like this one on Monday is just like the one at OSU. It is not a season ender for us if we lose but it will sure put the pressure on us.

From Eric Bailey: Odomes looking to finish senior season strong

“You have to value each game,” Odomes said. “The seniors say it among each other all the time. These last 12 games are the only games we have guaranteed left in our career.

“After this, you don’t know what’s going to happen so you have to give it your all.”

Odomes has played his best basketball this season over the past four games and has starts in the past three games.

He is averaging 13.3 points over the last four-game stretch and has connected on 24-of-32 shots (66.7 percent) during that run. Odomes also has totaled 11 assists, which equaled his output for the previous 16 contests.

In the Sooners’ 86-55 blowout win over Vanderbilt on Saturday, Odomes had 14 points while taking advantage of mismatches in the paint.

Realistic chance to be 0-5, although I think they probably win at least 1.

This team was fools gold. Good teams don't lose by 30 at home. Oh well, at least we have an influx of talent next year. But it will be more of the same with Kruger running the show.

Sooners have put themselves in a tough spot with the two home losses already. It's the same spot they were in at Stillwater. It's a borderline must win game at WVU-- always a very tough place to play. But this year, WVU REALLY stinks. You can't use the "well, it's a tough road trip" excuse given our current circumstances. Had we beaten KSU and Baylor and were sitting at 5-3 in conf you could afford to lay an egg against a subpar team. Now, there is very little margin for error in a game like this. It won't be a "good" win by any measure but it would be a "good avoided loss." It would also then give them a chance to get back to .500 in conf Monday... and if they did that, I think we could all breathe a sigh of relief. But I think we can all agree that if we lose Saturday, things start to potentially get ugly.
