Telling that Jordan Shepard played the last .....what????five minutes of the game. Will he start getting more of Odome's playing tiime?

I’d assume they just wanted an additional ball handler out there to finish it

and even though Shep had a brainfart on the +1 foul...he did hit his 1/1 FT's.

Me too! When this Doolittle-less eight game stretch started, I would have been thrilled with a 7-1 record. I don’t like the way our kids finished, but I’m definitely happy with the win.

Geez that half court 3 looked on target too. Proud of the way they played today, never panicked even when USC made their big run, kept running the offense. Obviously if the FTs go in this is a smoother victory but for a team still learning how to win they ll learn from it.

Wasnt sure if this team had a tourney bid in em but today gives me a lot of encouragement. Gonna have to play a lot better to try and pull one out against Wichita next week.

Shepard is definitely a better free throw shooter.

I never saw a win I didn't like, but I've seen a few over the years I wasn't sure I would survive. Tonight was one of those. I thought USC got away with fouls in the paint on several occasions down the stretch, but I'm not sure it would have mattered if we had gotten the whistles, the way we were clanking our free throws.

Yes, and apparently, we needed a free throw shooter. Missed the front end of two one and ones and both ends of two two shot fouls. Eight point potential swing. Odomes is not a good free throw shooter, and apparently, we decided to take the air out of the ball. Whew.

They had one guy make 7. He averages 9 ppg this year. Not sure if Odomes was on him.
