OSU hires...

“We’re the state’s team. We’ve always been the state’s team.” -Doug Gottlieb

Doug is either talking about a state other than Oklahoma, is horrific at math, or delusional.

LOL. I think he's referring to a state of confusion.

Did Doug say this on the radio?

Joe C has stated in the past that he ALWAYS has a list available for potential coaching hires on file, especially for unexpected departures of coaches, so surely Holder would have been updating his list since he was pretty sure he was going to get rid of HCTF a long time ago.

You may be giving Holder more credit than he deserves. Isn't he the one who locked OSU into a ten years contract extension with Travis Ford?

Not sure exactly when or where he said it. Saw it on a tweet from @pistolsguy, the fiction writer for Pistols Firing. Radio would be a good guess.

SMH! Mental illness is a terrible thing!

Very true! One of the all time AD blunders! :ez-laugh:

Im sure the guy is a better coach than Ford, but can he recruit. This is a tough league, he'll need more than x's and o's to win.

From what you said, I would say this radio host has quite an over-inflated opinion of the Kansas State basketball program.

And I find it hard to believe that any Big 12 coach would leave one Big 12 school for another Big 12 school (exception would be leaving for the KU job under the right circumstances). Were you listening to Keitzman say this? I think he is a KSU guy...right?

He's saying this because Underwood is former KSU player who still talks about how much he loves that dump. In any case, they likely blew it by letting OSU get him.

Underwood played for Hartman which makes him from the Henry Iba tree. I'm guessing this was as much a part of it as anything. I also think Underwood could be there for a long time whereas Jacobsen or any other "up and comer" would be on the first train out.

Personally, I'm not sold on Jacobsen. His team folded like a cheap suit in the last 40 seconds of that aTm game. That's a huge red flag issue to me if I'm an AD.

Underwood was also a top assistant at KSU and South Carolina to Martin and Huggy Bear.

I bet if Weber was let go next year or the following year, Underwood would take that job since he wouldn't be invested in the OSU job yet.

Well, the NCAA might as well ship the national championship trophy to stoolwater.

And the Maui invitational trophy and the Big XII Trophy. It's time to Cowboy Up! I'm so COWBOY"D UP, I can hang a towel on it.

Forte returning to OSU

Congrats...seriously. Forte is a terrific rhythm shooter, and will obviously make you more competitive next season. There's definitely some talent on that team returning, but you could really use a post player or two. Good luck in the spring recruiting.

If they could get some transfers or an impact juco guy in the post, at the very least to properly defend and rebound, they should be ok.

Oh Dougie....:facepalm

He has a lot of OU fans fooled. Not me. He will always be the same little punk who stole credit cards from his own teammates. F him and his constant little passive aggressive digs at OU.

OSU is the state's team......Only when it comes to men grappling other men in tights.....If basketball is is in question....OU has more overall wins..More conference wins...OU has a big lead in head to head over OSU....OU has more tournament wins...If an Indiana State fan said "we are the state's team" Indiana fans would laugh....so I will :ez-roll:

If you look up the word loser in a dictionary, you would likely find a picture of Doug Gotdweeb.

Doug Gottlieb, a former Notre Dame and Tustin High School basketball player, has been charged with felony theft for allegedly using stolen credit cards to purchase nearly $1,000 of merchandise, St. Joseph County (Ind.) prosecutor Mike Barnes said.

Gottlieb will surrender voluntarily Monday in Indiana and make a court appearance Tuesday, according to Barnes. Barnes said no warrant has been issued at this time and bail was set at $5,000 bond or $500 cash. Gottlieb faces a possible three-year prison term and a fine of up to $10,000 if convicted.

"We reviewed the evidence and filed what we believe is the appropriate charge," Barnes said. "There could be a wide range of penalties. It can be treated as a misdemeanor at sentencing if it's deemed appropriate at that time."
Gottlieb, who left Notre Dame in June, allegedly stole credit cards from three students who lived on the same dormitory floor. He purchased about $950 in merchandise from a sporting goods and jewelry store and bought dinner and gas with the cards.

The three students reported the thefts to a Notre Dame official after receiving bills. The matter was turned over to the South Bend police.

Gottlieb played in 27 games, starting 23, as a freshman. He averaged 4.6 points and led the team with 154 assists. He has enrolled at Golden West College, but said he will not play basketball this year.
