OU vs KU 8pm CST ESPN2

Goes head to head (1-1)
Then record versus other teams in conference 1-10.

They have us at ISU. (I think, I did this the other day)

So we are 7 no matter what happens Saturday.

Thanks, Hollis. I knew head-to-head was the first tie-breaker, but wasn't sure about the next one. So, it looks like we'll play OSU. Interesting that OSU almost always beats us in the conference tournament (at least since the start of the Eddie Sutton era). We really need to win that game to build some momentum for the Dance.

Unless there is an upset tomorrow, we will play the loser of osu and WVU on Saturday

7-10
In all likelyhood the loser of Saturday’s WVU OSU game is who we will play.

Its Tuesday... the worst night for games imo maybe Wednesday.. (i had to watch on my phone at the gym) but still ya, we need more activity tonight!!

Even worse.....its Fat Tuesday. I had to watch from a bar that had a live band and wasnt showing the game. Thus, I had to watch on crappy Wifi that cut in and out. But f... Kansas anyway.

Yeah, I really think WVU is going to win that game. They have been very competitive as of late. If they win and beat TCU in the 8/9, then TCU is headed for the NIT.

We may be 7-10 all-time against OSU in the conference tournament, but I'm guessing we're like 2-6 since the start of the Eddie Sutton era...it's one I want to win badly if we play them.

From the post game presser:

Bill Self on if OU is an NCAA Tournament team: “God, I hope they are, or ****...”

Hehehehe

Yeah they'd also have us because they split with Baylor. Too bad because it's always nice to avoid that extra game, which, realistically can only hurt for seeding purposes. But obviously that's better than having to worry about a loss keeping us out all together.

Really happy for the team. Going to work up here in KC will be fun tomorrow. :OUbball-logo:

Good question...I'm sure one of our gurus will have the answer to that. I'd like to know as well.

First tie breaker is the team records against the top team in the conference if their records are the same it then goes to the 2nd team in the conference, then the 3rd, etc. until one team has a better record than the other team.

It's amazing how "great" of a coach Kruger is when the team actually makes some shots and plays to their abilities!!

Or has he had nothing to do with us winning 4 of our last 5 games?!

Guess I'm confused...since several of you wanted him axed not too long ago!!

The offense that showed up today can beat A LOT of teams.
And I’m not talking about shot making. I’m talking about moving without the ball, making the extra pass, pushing it after a rebound or steal. That offense was night and day from what we’ve seen a lot over the last 2 months.

Let's just enjoy this victory and leave this stuff alone for the moment.

yep.

Congrats to the Sooner players, coaches, and fans.

It's great to be a Sooner.

And rob people of their nanner nanner boo boo posts?!? :ez-roll:

Certain posters love to criticize all season long (or disappear when the Sooners are winning), but they are very sensitive when they get any pushback, poor things.

Read this thread up till the final minutes of the game and you'd think we'd been losing. And you'd swear that Freeman had played 25 minutes and taken 40 shots, missing 39 of them.

In fact, he played six minutes, took four shots, hit two of them for six points had no turnovers and grabbed three steals.

But he was relentlessly trashed throughout this game thread.

As for "enjoy[ing] this victory and leav[ing] this stuff alone for the moment," one might have said that throughout this game. The Sooners dominated from start to finish, but that didn't keep the glass-half-empty crowd from complaining until the game was fully in hand.

Leave this stuff alone, indeed.

Skyvue, I like most of your stuff but if you didn’t see the game you should avoid criticising us critics too much lol. think about what you posted, Freeman was only in 6 minutes and he shot 4 times LOL. Buddy Hield didn’t shoot 4 times in 6 minutes. Freeman shot EVERY time his hands touched the ball and Never passed. That’s not what the 9th player off of a bench is supposed to do. And I also praised the guys who played well, so yes I beat up on Freeman and Reynolds but it was well deserved.

No doubt sky. Some people on both sides of any issue do the same thing. I guess it's just that everybody loves to be right. :) As for me, I don't care if I'm right or wrong; just want to see my Sooners succeed. With the KU streak all but ended I've been tempted to dance around singing The Witch is Dead. Probably what other fans feel when our football team doesn't win the conference.
