Sooners in the pros.

I like seeing our guys up there and it's nice to see some of the numbers they are putting up but it's kind of disheartening when you realize that only Hollis Price and Taylor Griffin are on rosters for teams that really compete at elite levels of European basketball and contending for Euro Cup.

I don't understand, I thought Sampson left no talent but virtually all of his former players are playing professionally.

Only two players are really playing at a level of Euroball that could be considered elite (Price and Griffin), only one of those was left when Sampson left, and neither are really playing extensive minutes.

Of all the guys listed only Taylor and Hollis are on teams that even competed for the Euro Cup... a little context and perspective would be useful when looking at these numbers and discussing the "professional" talent on those rosters.

Pro basketball in Mexico must be the suck for Avila to put up those numbers.

Or maybe he is just healthy. He was ranked as the number one Juco player before he ended up at OU. Gotta think there was a reason for that.

Well done, Nick! I'm sure I speak for everyone here when I say that these updates on former OU players are greatly appreciated!!!

:clap :clap

Noticed a lot of people asking about Euro basket pay and such, here's an idea of how much they make:

NBA - $3million
EuroBasket- $1.2million
Other Foreign Clubs - $50k to $500k depending on which league and how good you are.
WNBA -$33k (women actually get paid way better in Europe then in the states.)

I'll have updated Kelvin's group up tomorrow morning.
