At the beginning of the year, we knew we would be bad. A lot of us just wanted to see hustle and improvement throughout the year.

We are starting to see that and I was satisfied.

No doubt we played harder than a more talented Baylor team tonight.

Anybody remember last years game at Waco? They murdered us and we had absolutely no effort on defense.

Granted I wanted this EVERY GAME, but yeah, to quote Leslie Miles, "the team showed some good resolve tonight"

Yep, I think they got 27 points off turnovers... Baylor was pretty fortunate that OU couldn't take full advantage of that.

Basically OU can't play defense so they shot 60% from the field and it turned into a dunk contest down the stretch... Other than that OU played good and took advantage of BU turnovers.

I didn't get to see the first half, but I'm most pleased with seeing some rebounding on the offensive end. This is the first time in a while I didn't see 4 out of 5 guys go running away to play defense every time we fire up a shot, so kudos for showing some desire in that aspect tonight.

I missed the last five or so of the first half and the first twelve or so of the second. I guess that was the good part. All I saw was Baylor leading by about ten. It was reasonable when I got back from the gym but then it got bad again.

Agreed. I was happy with the fire and intensity and saw some encouraging signs.

There were definitely some positives to take from this game. OU hung in there on the road against a team with more talent and a heck of a lot more size.

Blair and Cam played well, and Pledger hit some key threes to keep us in the game. Props to those three for sure!

that was enough to make me shut my mouth for a few days.

And that was without lights.

i'm happy with the effort, but i'm sick of just wanting these guys to just play hard something they should be doing anyway. I want some wins.

Sad state of OU BB when the team loses by double digits and we are claiming morale victory. Like Baylor losing to OU by say 14 in FB and treating it like a win. Morale victories are for losers. If OU plays like tonight and loses every game is that progress?

Scary SCARY thought, an OU morale victory over Baylor.:facepalm:facepalm

...but I'm not sure we're ready to take this team to play any sucker yet.

Isnt Defense effort?

I realize they had a ton of turnovers, but usually when a team is playing excellent defense and causing turnovers it shows in the shooting percentage as well...they shot 60%...so as much as i enjoyed watching the game and liked what i saw out of Pledger and Clark, i thought Baylor played about as sloppy and uninspired a game as they could play (showed on the boards as well)...and still won by 13

I'm tired of moral victories...so if we lose by less than 10 are we on here celebrating like we won a game? Sorry i am not applauding the performance and i know it will make some mad, but i just cant do it...

This is no reflection of these players, i feel so bad for them...they are in a no win situation...i do feel they are playing to the maximum of their abilities in most cases but either arent good enough for this level or arent put in the position to do well...There are a few of guys on this team that are legit OU Championship caliber and they are playing their heart out night in night out, i know they will be rewarded for their effort before they leave OU...
