I’m all for overpaying Q or HP as an assistant, both if they want to come as a duo. Recruiting Texas is a major key to our success as a program. Whatever it takes to fill that void!

I’m not a Shepherd fan! I remember what a jerk he was in throwing his weight around with Garyeb2 to put an end to our practice reports. He would be the last assistant on my list I would want to keep from the current staff.

Shepard's scheduling prowess allowed our 2018 and 2019 teams to coast into the Tournament despite conference records of 8-10 and 7-11. He cracked the quadrant code long before anyone else. He always did the dirty work. If he pushed his weight around, I doubt it was done without authorization from the higher pay grades.

Wouldn't surprise me to see him be Kevin's DOBO for the Runnin' Rebels. Great way to earn another million or so before retirement.

Struggle to see how Shepard hasn't been announced at UNLV. He's gone everywhere Kruger has gone.

Those 3 would make sense. You have a former coach who Moser loves, a former assistant to help the others on the staff understand how Moser operates, and then a former player who coaches in OK, that has Texas connections.

In other words, Taylor is in charge of keeping an eye on Blake’s money. If you can’t trust your brother, who can you trust?

What are his Texas connections? He's from Oklahoma. Played college ball in Oklahoma and Utah. Played a little foreign pro ball. Coached college ball in Utah for a year. And has coached Oklahoma HS ball for the last 7 years.

I'd prefer somebody with a little more "bite" than that, unless there is something about him that I'm missing.

Kellen McCoy is a former teammate of Damian Lillard at Weber State, is the current Norman North boy's coach and also the leader of the Team Griffin program from a basketball standpoint. Solid guy, well respected nationally for what he's done with Team Griffin, and would be great as a third assistant/recruiter/scout. Super knowledgeable basketball mind.
