“When something like that happens, you talk to the player that you have and the players that are signed,” Kruger said on Monday afternoon. “I guess that’s part of our world today. It’s unfortunate that someone can throw a name out there without any foundation whatsoever.
“The people of Oklahoma have been so great, and this is going to be our last job. I’m extremely excited about it.”
This week will include the completion of a six-member signing class. On Wednesday, forward Anyang Garang (6-9, 210) from Australia is expected to sign a letter of intent to join five other players who signed during the early signing period.
“It’s a very good group. And they really want to be here. That’s the thing. They are very excited about it,” Kruger said. “They can’t wait until June to get to campus. They’ll fit very well and combine with a really good core coming back.”
