What Is Your NCAA Tourney Seed Prediction?

We are only one slot below where we were yesterday. It looks like Michigan State was always above us. Only Miss. St. moved ahead from his picks.

This was yesterday. We were second on the Last Four Byes. Today we are 3rd.

I guess everyone is just looking at different posts/timeframes. We were ahead of Sparty on the one I took a picture of. Ultimately, what matters is that we have been passed and will continued to be passed by bubble teams that take care of their business on the court. We couldn't do that for the past six weeks, so we wait nervously.

Tennessee is completely blowing their chance at the 1-seed.
Just got out of a meeting and turned the game on. Can't believe Tennessee is rolling out this dog**** performance when a #1 seed is on the line for them.

Purdue is going to hang on, but I have a hard time thinking Michigan State will be punished for playing the overall #1 seed down to the wire. I don't see them dropping any after this game.

Using Bracket Matrix, the bubble looks like this:

Last Five In:
Seton Hall
Virginia
Colorado
St. John's
New Mexico

First Five Out:
Indiana State
Texas A&M
Providence
Pittsburgh
Villanova

More than half of the brackets are updated. We still appear in every single bracket. Still in really good shape to make it.
That is a little more encouraging, to see us still in on every site. I do think a handful of those teams have a fair chance of passing us because I expect some of them to keep winning -- the odds say at least some will. And I want nothing to do with a play-in game. Not because it would be impossible to win, but because unless we make it to the round of 64, it won't feel like we are actually part of the tourney.

I don’t think this loss “hurts” Sparty at all. It’s all a matter of where they were slotted going in…

Yeah, they and Miss. State have probably solidified their spots ahead of us now. It's the teams from behind we need to focus on.

I mean, Bracket Matrix has us all on the 10 line. So, we're all pretty much even. I just don't think we're in real danger of dropping out. We have Seton Hall as a buffer at this point for sure. Colorado would have to beat Arizona tonight.

I'm not sure on CU. Some sites have them in, others not. I will say, they are a talented team and they are red hot. It won't shock me if they win tonight. I would love for Zona to smoke them but am not expecting that to happen.

I absolutely think Mich St and Miss State are ahead of us now. It won't matter if we are all 10s, but if bids are stolen, it could come into play.

Question to the board.

When we get in, as a 10 or 11 seed, if we get a first round win and make the 2nd round close. Would you consider that a good finish? Or is it Sweet16 or bust not matter what and still unhappy?

Miss St unquestionably ahead of us now. I’m not sure on Sparty. The really key games are on deck today. I’d add Nebraska as a team ahead of us currently that MIGHT sink backwards if they lose to Indiana tonight.

A tourney win would salvage the season for me. Especially if competitive in R2. If we are one and down it’s probably a “C” grade season

With how OU has struggled lately, a win the tournament would be a good way to finish. Sweet 16 would be awesome

If we get in and win a game.....I wouldn't use the word "happy", I would say "content" or "satisfied" with some noticeable progress of the program. My biggest frustration up to this point has been lack of progress in Moser's tenure....not only in W/Ls, but also in player development.

Here come all the scolds to bitch and moan about a scenario that hasn't even happened yet.

Winning a game in the tourney (not play in) and then playing well in round 2 would be a big step. I wouldn’t say it salvages the season because just like in 2021, I’ll always wonder how far we could have made it if we had played better down the stretch and gotten a better seed. But it would at least make us feel relevant again. If we lose in round one or in Dayton, I’ll feel like we underachieved with this roster and have made little progress since year one.

Of course you do.

Sweet 16 is almost always a good season unless we were Top 5 all year. One win is a great season for where we came from last year. Of course, Moser has made the FF as an 11 seed before .. so maybe my bar is too low lol.
