Everyone sees things the players and coaches do or don't do that causes you to grit your teeth and shake your head. It rises to the level of a pet peeve.

With that in mind, what ONE thing about the Sooners is your pet peeve? Let's try not to mention names of players.

While I have more than one, probably the one that causes me to roll my eyes is, not using a pump fake and getting a chip shot blocked.

What's yours?

Well Norm you didn't necessarily steal my thunder, but you and I have talked about pump fakes for years, so with that being said, my number two pet peeve is kids that dribble into two defenders in the paint, and see them coming. Please pass to where the double team is coming from. I could mention more but you said ONE. Good thread.

My main one has been Turnovers.

But to be fair they have been much better with that lately.

Knock on Wood. In fact I am banging the daylights out of my desk right now. We do not need to go back to that (uncontrolled turnovers) again.

I think all my peeves have been mentioned. Thank you.

I really have only one: concentration. Do your daydreaming after the game.

I totally agree with you on your pet peeve, Norm. It seems like an epidemic in women's basketball.

I can't stand the amount of dropped passes. It drives me crazy. It makes me so mad when people are near the goal and clearly don't expect a pass.

Mine is making a mistake or missing a shot and then turning around and fouling. I don't understand players in high school doing this but to see it happening at the collegiate and professional levels is just beyond ridiculous.

I am not one for pulling a player immediately upon making a dumb mistake. Mistakes happen, however, I would not allow these types of fouls without consequences.

When an OU player shoots it all the other OU players run back down the court in transition. The shot misses and no one is there to get the offensive rebound. Need to crash the glass when the shot goes up. Also, if you get an O rebound and there are 3 defenders around you, don't try to put it up even if you're 5 ft from the basket - kick it out - people are going to be open.

Excellent! I would add, not following your shot to the basket.

My pet peeve is really ---- Syb.

JK, kinda.

I think everyone has mentioned the program's most egregious sins. What makes them egregious? The endless occurrences of them happening for five or 10 years.

It is surprising that we really don't get better at eliminating them. Sometimes it makes me wonder if the hammer ever gets thrown down on them.

Mine is playing like you're afraid of the press: dribbling downcourt, then stopping when the double team comes, backing up, then passing to someone who is no further downcourt than you (or even behind you), then they do the same thing.

Uggh! That drives me nuts. One reason I love Maddie is that she does not do that. When I played in college, our coach taught us to dribble straight to the double team then pass ahead to the open player. Worked every time seemed like.
