Oh ye of little faith. Who is that in third place in the Big-12 conference?

Yes, tied for third, but be honest: Who was predicting that 2 or 3 weeks ago?

We have 3 games left. Iowa State, Tech, then we close at Texas (or is that Tech on a neutral floor - Austin? :facepalm)

Our current record is 9 - 6 and 14 - 12. What will the record be after these 3 games?

I had a dream last night that we beat Texas in Austin. It is the only time I've ever had a dream about OU women's basketball. So take that for what it's worth!

I will not lie, I didn't think we would finish above 5th place in the conference with the way the team started out. I figured we would end the season at 8-10 in the conference and 15-14 with no NCAA bid. Looks like we have a slim chance to finish 3rd, but probably 4th. I would love to finish 17-12, but I look for a finish at 16-13 and 11-7 with the 4th seed going to the Big XII. With our RPI and strength of schedule, I figure a better than 50 percent chance of getting to the Big Dance.

I can'f find the thread. I think I predicted 11-7, 10-8 at worst. I think I expected us to beat OSU once, not WV twice. Now, if we had just been given credit for that tip-in by Maddie against OSU,,,,,,,,

We could beat Texas. That is not off the table.

If we remain 23, we are probably no worse than a 5-6 seed.

I think I predicted 2-2 for last 4. Can't remember.

ISU plays us so tough and constantly snaps at us and makes an OU victory difficult.

Tech -- worst team in America -- probably.

Texas, winnable, but not likely. Just too strong.

We maybe are on the bubble right now. I'm still leaning toward no invite -- unless something major happens in the BIG 12 tournament.

Agreed to both statements! I felt the officiating during Bedlam was bad both ways, but we definitely got called for more fouls. I thought we would win that one, and also against TCU.

I also think we can upset UT!

Now we are in 3rd place alone in the conference - and virtually certain to finish 3rd or 4th.

We are now ranked 23rd in RPI.

And - get ready - have the #1 strength of schedule in the USA.

With those numbers we are highly likely (certain?) to get in the tourney. No matter what Creme says.

One thing that happened is all the other conference teams had to catch up in number of games played. They finally had to start playing each other - and when that happens, someone has to lose. When that was first brought up, some on here did not understand the impact that would have on the standings.

Creme makes my skin crawl to dismiss big 12 is bad for all involved!
