For OSU's needs I would take the Smart and anyone else. They have a good group coming back and have a chance to do some really nice things, so having an instant star is better than role players.

I don't know much about Murphy, but everyone knows that Forte was awarded a scholarship to get Smart. And, for the record, OU would have done the same thing.
Now, fast forward to a year from now when Smart jumps to the NBA. OSU will have Forte and Murphy, while OU will have M'Baye for two years and our other three recruits for four.
Remind me not to get you involved in negotiating a trade on my next pickup.
With that being said, they are fine at guard with Markel Brown, Brian Williams, Cezar, Nash, etc. M'Baye, along with Hield, Hornbeak, etc might do more for them than Smart.

Unless Smart plays point I don't see him being one and done. He is a 6'3" SG, there's not a lot of those in the NBA. I think Murphy is going to be a solid player in a few years. He was being recruited by some solid teams before committing. I also think that Forte will be a solid role player.
All I am saying is OSU has a chance to have a really special team next year. I think it is more important to add an instant game changer than several players that will be good in the future.

I don't disagree with you entirely, I was just ragging on you. Not that Marcus Smart is anywhere on our former game changer's level, but I wouldn't take any three players I can think of for another Blake Griffin.
At the same time, I'm happy with M'Baye, Henry, Hornbeak and Hield. That's a solid group to build around for the future.
