NORMAN -- The University of Oklahoma Athletics Department has announced that fans have two ways to attend this week's men's and women's exhibition basketball games for $1 each.

Sherri Coale's women's basketball team plays its lone exhibition contest Wednesday at 7 p.m. against Southeastern Oklahoma State inside Lloyd Noble Center. Lon Kruger's 19th-ranked men's squad opens its season Friday at 7 p.m. against Washburn, also at home.

$1 Opportunity No. 1: OU Athletics, Whatburger and RV General Store challenge fans to participate in the "Fill the RV at LNC" canned food drive. Fans who donate canned food items Nov. 5-7 to the RV General Store recreational vehicle in the Lloyd Noble Center west parking lot will receive a voucher for a $1 ticket to this week's men's and women's basketball exhibition games. Everyone donating will also be entered to win two pregame sideline passes and two tickets to the Nov. 22 OU-Kansas football game.

Canned food donation times are Wednesday, Nov. 5 (5:30-8:30 p.m.), Thursday, Nov. 6 (12:30-1:30 p.m. and 6-7 p.m.) and Friday, Nov. 7 (5-10 p.m.).

$1 Opportunity No. 2: Fans who show their ticket (at Lloyd Noble Center's north and east ticket windows) for Saturday's OU-Baylor football game may purchase a $1 basketball exhibition ticket.

The $1 promotional price for the basketball exhibition games will be for restricted admission tickets. Restricted admission tickets allow access into the arena, but do not guarantee a seat. After tipoff, restricted admission ticket holders may take any open seats that remain in the upper level. Patrons with reserved tickets have first priority to the seat location on their tickets.

Lloyd Noble Center's north and east ticket windows will open at 5:30 p.m. both days.

Sounds like it will be a decent crowd on Friday, especially for an exhibition game. Really hope season ticket holders start using their tickets. It will make a difference.
