#19 OU vs #36 OSU thoughts

Here we are 7 weeks later.

RPI Rankings

#17 OU
#30 OSU

Even after their flukey stretch of comeback victories including the one vs us.

And.... right on queue, boca returns after OSU loses.

Welcome back, boca.

Speaking of RPI --

OSU currently has 5 wins against RPI top 50 teams, with 3 of those wins away from home.

OU currently has 2 wins against RPI top 50 teams, with both of those at home.

Your thoughts?

My thoughts are its good to have both teams good again

I rarely defend boca (he doesn't need my help, anyway), but boca doesn't appear and disappear on this board depending on oswho's on-court fortunes; aggie fans do (with you being one of the very few exceptions).

You aside, they did a complete disappearing act after the Bedlam game in Norman, then after your team and the officials combined to pull off the comeback win over OU, they came flooding back.

That you would call out an OU fan this way is beyond ironic, given it's the orange-clad clown posse that's guilty of this behavior (but hey, at least you're not calling him names this week; I'm glad to see you've managed to collect yourself a little).

+1

It's fantastic.

I remember a time last year when our combined record was something like 28-33. Yuck.

This is soooo much better.

Thanks for the lecture, Dad.

I'll try harder next time... I promise.

Where's gia stout now. Same old aggie trash

I check this board maybe weekly and have been too busy watching my top 15-20 ranked and relevant team play ball in front of back to back sellout crowds. Two things that team of yours can only think about. I can tell having a lesser season than us for however many straight years is killing you guys Are you guys even going to get a vote again this season? Maybe crack 8k at the fallout shelter this weekend?

I hope both teams can meet in the Big 12 tourney, would be fun to up our record to 4-0 against you guys in it.

Aggie talks about their ranking we could only dream of in a thread that uses the NCAA officially published ranking system that has OU #18 and OSU #30.

They are aggies for a reason.

How does Travis Ford measure up to this?

Does that read 1-3? Yah it does, and I think that was the point of T_Neal's Twitter's post... I will take that unibrow over this guy any day of the week:

You do know Kruger has a losing record in the NCAA tourney, right? Even Sampson was .500 and he was the king of the 1st round flop. I don't think Kruger is bad but let's not aft like he's carrying a 40-25 NCAA record like Eddie's.

From Kruger's OWN wiki page:

Kruger has won just one regular season conference championship in his 25 years of college coaching (Illinois tied for the Big 10 title in 1997-98). Plus the 13 times that his teams have made the NCAA tournament, they have lost in the 1st or 2nd round 10 times. Also, some critics mention his failed venture in the NBA. However, Kruger generally enjoys a positive reputation overall.[9]

You can celebrate that RPI while you have a worse seed than us in the NCAA tourney. That won't make you look stupid or anything. Don't lose at home to a school with barely 10k students located in Nacogdoches and it will be less likely to happen.

This ought to go well.

So. I know you were called out for being a no show after an ace whipping and are now here touting your team again but what would you be thinking if'n those ref's hadn't let the last few minutes of Bedlam go all orange whistles? Where would we be and where would you be after two home court losses in a row? Would we be ahead of ya? I say yes. Now, you got a pretty good team. Don't get too big fer yer britches Stout!

Congrats on 2 straight sellouts (you really want to brag about that?). Your attendance has been nonexistant for the past 5 seasons (as it has for much of your program's life). The fact that they expanded GIA to 13,000 is hilarious - who signed off on that deal? A tarp of Boone's mug and Eddie's scowl to cover up the endzone 300 levels might help a little.

Maybe Boone will buy us 4K tickets for Saturday like he did for you guys against Gonzaga (hopefully we will have 9K there like you did).

GIA Stout and Travis Ford are made for each other. Two peas in a pod...

BTW, I'd love to play you again in KC this year. It will help our seeding to beat you one more time.

How many straight years? Try zero. OU finished 15-16 last season (no need to bother yourself with the math -- that's a winning percentage of .483), oswho finished 15-18 (.454), and the Bedlam series was a split.

This season's not a finished story yet -- you're a single game ahead of us in the Big 12 standings, and two games better than us overall (against a weaker schedule), with several games still to be played. I wouldn't count your chickens before they're hatched (I used farmer lingo there expressly for your benefit).

But thanks for confirming once again that oswho cares only about being better than OU, for it takes a truly obsessed fan indeed to brag in any way, shape or form about a 15-18 season. It's clear your universe revolves around us.

We finished ahead of you in conference. Enjoy being unranked and your 8 seed. I'll now let you go back to blaming officials like the excuse maker you are. I hope you don't pass that loser mentality on to your children.

Ha! I KNEW you'd mention the conference standings. In fact, here's a paragraph I pulled from my previous post because I didn't want to give you an out. But you, a true aggie, stepped right up and delivered the goods:

No doubt you'll next stoop to touting the fact that last season your team's conference record last year was slightly better than our conference mark. Given that both teams were well below .500 in conference, it wouldn't occur to any self-respecting fan to brag about that, but it just goes to show how desperate you are to claim superiority over OU in any way you possibly can.

If the situation were reversed -- if oswho had finished with the better season record last year, but had ended up behind OU in the Big 12 standings -- we'd be hearing about that instead. Whatever it takes to claim some sort of superiority, you're ready to resort to.

It's almost -- not quite, but almost -- cute that you're so obsessed with OU.

OSU has sold out 13k many times, LNC on the other hand? Lol. I know you see the atmosphere GIA can be and then go to a game at LNC and are a lil' embarrassed, I get it. The media talks about how great it is and your place gets nothin'. You might wanna rethink playin a team you're 0-3 against in the tourney, you couldn't even get it done with the #1 pick in the draft.
