From the line of discussion, it seemed that you were implying that the efficiency ratings weren't adjusted for SOS. Sorry if I misunderstood.

I won't & neither will the NCAA selection committee.

Right. They won't change, meaning that they won't look back and see what teams' RPI was on Jan. 8.

They also will continue to place value on high-quality wins, more than just a raw RPI ranking. For example, if you have a high RPI rating, but your best RPI win is against Northwestern State, you won't get in.

Well apropos to the discussion, I'm pretty sure the NCAA tournament committee doesn't take the transitive property into consideration.

We still have two pretty decent non-conference victories under our belt in NC State and Tennessee. I think South Florida and Akron also will eventually be a quality wins as they get into their conference play.

I don't count posts, so I didn't realize you were here that often. I'm on this board nearly every day and don't recall seeing you post all that much. Maybe you should be more vocal or visible. Or, maybe my memory loss is worse than I thought.

That said, you should know by now that Boca is...well, Boca. His thoughts don't always mirror that of the masses here. I have a feeling his lack of objectivity where OSU is concerned, stems from a deep hatred that some of us don't share, at least most of the time.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a Poke fan by any means. And, when it comes to Bedlam, I turn into a venom-spewing image of what I think Boca might be every day of his life.

Ohio had a better season last year than anyone osu has even played, and they returned their entire starting 5. I'd say that is another quality win.

Not to mention, ou has one of the better road records in the country, which carries a lot of weight.

A better bet might be for him to lay off the sheep (and other farm animals) between games. You have to be specific with these aggies because they will just switch to cows, pigs or some other domesticate animal.

Who cares what happened last year? You don't get credit for beating a team that was good last year.

And the fact is that right now, Ohio is #174 in RPI with losses to Robert Morris and Winthrop. They aren't anything close to approaching being quality win.

And road wins do carry weight, if you get a win over a quality team on the road, which OU has not done yet. Your best road win is over RPI #104 West Virginia. Your other road wins are all against RPI 150+ teams.
