2002 OU vs KU Big 12 championship game in on ESPN classic right now

Thanks for the heads up.

Man, what a game. I wish I could step into a time machine and go back to that season.

Wheres the crying emoticon?

I used to hate that Boschee kid...I don't even remember why.

Because he played for KU...why else?

Boy, what I wouldn't give to have Hollis Price back. He would instantly make the current team 5-6 wins better. He was so smooth.

I hope they retire his and Eduardo's jersey at some point.

Lol, yeah being a Jayhawk didn't help.

If Capel has to come back, which apparently he is, someone should pressure him into giving a former Sooner an assistant gig. Capel's a Dukie, he doesn't have pride in being a Sooner.

Detrick was so underrated during his time as was Selvy.

Both would be stars on this team.

Amazing how quickly the JUCO talent pool has dwindled since we signed juco studs like those guys, McGhee, Quannis White, and Szendrei.

BOB, how many ppg would Ebi average on this team?

At least 15, and probably more. He would have to play the 2 or Cade would have to slide to the 2 and put Pledger on the bench where he probably belongs.

Good God. Are you kidding me with this crap?

No, not really. What would be wrong with getting a guy like Terry Evans, Harvey Grant, Jeff Webster, etc to come back to OU? They wouldn't do any worse IMO. Anyways, it's just MY opinion no matter how retarded you think it is.

Saying Capel doesn't have pride in being a Sooner is incredibly stupid.

We already have Szendrei on our bench. We do not have any assistant coaching vacancies. We have no reason to believe that our assistant coaches should be fired. We have no reason to believe that anyone you named would be a solid D-1 assistant coach. Evans would be a terrible hire for Capel in terms of having to hear everyone say "Fire Capel and promote Evans".

You proved that I am kind of dumb. I mean that seriously. I always forget that Szendrei is helping out. I guess I'm just not impressed with these assistants coaching-wise or on the recruiting trail. Harvey is actually coaching at the D1 level. I'm trying to think of others that are but am drawing a blank. As far as Capel having Sooner pride, I don't think so. He's working at OU but is only tied to OU by contractual terms.

Not trying to interupt what you too have going on, but has anyone noticed that the new gayhawk hasnt said one word on this thread?

Take one guy from this 02 team and plug him in on this team, who and why?

Hollis Price, do you really need a reason?

Is he the biggest need though? McGhee could give us some much needed size/strength and scoring/rebounding, Q could facilitate the team, Jabhari could give us an intimidating man in the middle...

But since you took Price, would you put him at the point?

I would put him at the point because i trust him with the ball more than any other point option we have. I know we need strength inside but hollis was tough as nails and its a little easier to get bigs to respond when the get out worked and beat up by a 6'1" 165 lb guard, than a 6'8" 250 guy like osby right now.

With Osby you just say "aww hes bigger than me what do you expect" When hollis does it then if you had any pride or manhood you would step up and make sure it never happened again.
