Win Case was the Head coach at EOSC when I went to Juco there. Players really loved him

OU easily has the money. It is a question whether or not they are willing to spend it for this purpose.

Exellent idea. Williams and Case would be one heck of a recruiting combo. Add Terry Evans to get that OU connection and I would be one happy fan.

Seems like he'd be a good choice, and a young guy with lots of time, but not young to the point of inexperienced.

Turgeon's last team at Wichita went 17-14 and missed out on postseason play entirely. Contrary to the legend that has somehow grown, he only made the tournament one time in his seven seasons at Wichita.

Marshall went 11-20 in his first season, but has improved every single year since: 17-17, 25-10, 24-7. That's what we call a trend. Also he took Winthrop to the NCAA tournament 7 times in 9 years.

Gregg Marshall Era (1999-2007)

Gregg Marshall coached the Eagles from 1999–2007, engineering one of the great program turnarounds in NCAA history. He posted a 194-83 overall record during his nine-year tenure and remains Winthrop's all-time winningest coach. Marshall led the Eagles to a 104-24 conference record, six Big South season titles, and seven Big South tournament titles. Winthrop also appeared in seven NCAA Tournaments, posted six 20-win seasons, and averaged 21.5 victories per year during the Marshall Era. Prior to Marshall's arrival Winthrop had never advanced to the NCAA tournament.

And there is a reason he isn't getting play for any of the multiple other jobs that are open.
