Castiglione this morning on LNC renovations

Interesting. What transfers have they blocked?

Damion (sp?) Dotson from Oregon who is doing great at Houston. He would be our fourth guard this year instead of Walker. A massive upgrade at the position.

if dragging their feet is how we refer to them not agreeing to everything until they have gone over it with a fine tooth comb AND they are suspicious of odd "hiccups" in cases then SO BE IT!

I would rather have a program that is cautiously doing it the right way. period. If it costs some players then c'est la vie.

Personally ... I'd rather have the entire athletic department full of programs (football, basketball, baseball, gymnastics etc...) that are academics first and supposed success in the sport second. To ME that serves much more of our community than just sports success.

And fortunately, we are moving in that direction!

Dotson is a good player and was a high recruit coming out of Houston. He was kicked off of Oregon's team for involvement in a sexual assault but was never charged. I can certainly understand why we'd be leery of taking on that kind of baggage.

The LSU win should accelerate the renovation. Surely some rich alums will step up.

Maybe they could at least light up the cave that is Lloyd Noble also get the students near the court. Little changes could go a long way.

And that's what it comes down to. Would you rather us do things the right way and maybe not win as much, or do everything we can to win and risk having the NCAA hammer dropped on us. And our fans base is divided on this subject.

Sad but true. The win at all cost mentality is a product of today's times. One should always remember that right is right and wrong is wrong and as a university that teaches our young the right way is the only way to go.

This is the side I am on. I would rather run a clean program that actually helps these young men and women.

Just paint the orange seats to match the cushy Crimson ones and I'll be a happy BigTime

Do any of you think Kruger isn't running a clean program? Dotson wasn't charged and his head coach said he is one of the best kids he has ever coached. Good enough for me. I hope all that are against him want Mixon kicked off the football team and Shannon!

So when Hornbeak tells the coaches he is leaving when school is out in May we shouldn't be able to sign a player in April for the next fall. This is what our compliance department didn't let them do.

FYI multiple athletic directors were at the game today.

I'm done posting for awhile.

I don't think we could sign anyone until hornbeak actually left. I don't see the issue.

Sounds like you have something personal against Joe.

I hope you don't stop posting bc this seems like small potatoes man

In sexual assault and abuse cases, charges not being filed doesn't necessarily mean anything. I'm not saying the Oregon player in question was guilty -- I have no idea whatsoever. But citing the fact that he wasn't charged means little to nothing. Check the FBI's and the Justice Dept.'s stats on sexual crimes and how often they go unreported, how often charges are filed, how often those cases actually go to trial, and how often the accused is found guilty. The numbers are minuscule, and there are many reasons for that. But the mere fact that charges are not filed in a given case means very little.

Wonderful! What a track record we have in running off posters who have friendly ties to the inner workings of the program. Leopard, gone. vbdad, sabbatical.

More postings from the reactionaries! HOORAY!!

there seems to be a common denominator with these guys with inside sources....they can't stomach anybody questioning their source or asking questions. Believe every word they say or they are gone.

Good riddance if that is the way they want to be

Quite honestly I am not all about hearing negative things about this staff or this school or this program right now. I think the department as well as each of the programs is doing an excellent job. If we're gonna complain when things are bad then we should cut them some slack when they're doing well.
