Amath, too? Interesting!

Thanks for the heads up. I'll look forward to seeing two former Sooners in action.

That's what I heard last week, hopefully he is still playing.

I'm watching now; Amath started the game. He's 0-for-1 from the field early, with one rebound.

Starting the second period now. M'Baye was on the bench the final two-thirds of the first quarter; no sign of Clark yet.

M'Baye back in for the second quarter, and puts up 10 points -- 3-4 from the field (2-3 from three) with two free throws.

Well, I got too distracted to watch the second half closely, but M'Baye finished with 14 points on 5-of-8 shooting (2-4 from deep) and four rebounds. Cam didn't see any playing time.

M'Baye looked good. As evidenced by the stats Skyvue posted, an accurate breakdown by my count as well, he took full advantage of the shots he had.

He started at the three and played there most of the game. His assignment on defense was Doug McDermott, the national college POY last season. Amath's size, length and quick feet, gave McDermott fits. The only points I saw him score with M'Baye guarding him was from the free throw line, when he got a step on Amath by rubbing him off of a pick.

If M'Baye continues to shoot the ball well and defend at the level he did in this game, he may have a chance to make the Clipper's roster. His ability to run the floor would also make him a good fit. IMO, he was easily the best big on the Clippers team today.

20 at halftime on lights out shooting!

Cam with 3 and 1 asst in 7 minutes.

So if M'Baye has improved enough to be scoring 25 in an nba summer league game what he have done at OU this past season? Or was his improvement a function of professional coaching and training?

He would have been much improved either way. M'Baye is the type of player's whose game excels at the NBA level, where there is more room to operate than at the college level where teams can pack it in and cut off his slashing lanes. His athleticism, length, and quickness really showed in these games, and I think he would have taken advantage of that as a senior if he had stayed. Especially with the good coaching he would have gotten at OU.

If M'Baye had stayed, I believe we would have had a real shot at winning the big 12 regular season and that the sweet 16 would have been the worst we would have finished in the tournament. With our thin post depth, and his versatility, he would have been a difference maker.

Amath turning heads today, 27 points on 9/15 shooting, 2-4 from distance. No hype needed.

I would love it if Amath was with the Clippers this season.

I really like his stat line, but what I love most about the numbers is he had 8 personal fouls...haha

Amath made the sportscenter top 10 not once, but twice!!!

Way to go, big man, prove me wrong!

Wow.. Potential Stories like this keep me watching sports every year

Anybody know what kind of shots he was hitting? Jumpers, driving to the rim, finishing on the break? Just curious.

IF he can hit open jumpers, there is a place in the NBA for him. Body-wise, he certainly has a position. Just needed to refine his skills a bit.

Two threes, four dunks, and not sure about the others.
