Colby Daniels tweeet (Kruger Retiring!)

What makes you think CBS has any idea who we’re looking at? They likely have no idea and are spitballing. They have to write something. It’s their job. It doesn’t make it even remotely true.

Not saying their right. That's just what national pundits are reporting.

I hear you. I just don’t think there’s any traction with either Sampson, Hollis, or Quannas white. They won’t even be approached by OU. Joe C likely has a list of 1-3 names and then will expand the list if he doesn’t get his first choices. I don’t think anyone from Houston is even on the list.

I tend to agree, but not for the reasons that some around here think.

Yah I don't think the Sampsons or Quannas are on Joe C's radar. I think he's going to try to go young again. It's kinda his M.O., which is why someone like McCasland or Craig Smith makes sense. North Texas would likely have been a tourny team last year as well. I could see Hartman being considered as well.

Quannas White - Head Coach
Assistant Coach - Bob Hoffman
Assistant Coach - Ed Conroy (who Quannas worked for at Tulane)
Assistant Coach - Hollis Price

I'd rather Lon have stayed. Even if he coached the team from Vegas. :)

Outside of Steve Henson, I'm not sure there is a hire I'd be less excited about then Hartman.

Why is that? He is a lot more qualified than anyone on kelvins staff. Those guys haven’t even been on p5 staffs.

Hartman would be really good. Besides in game. He is the best guy on staff.

Will be a fine head coach soon.

Maybe at UTRGV.

Funny you put bob on there. I spoke to him today. Ou isn’t calling him!!

Carlin Hartman is way more qualified than quannas.

Because he would put Kelvin’s barber ahead of anyone on Lon’s staff.

This is not a learn on the job situation. We are above hiring a guy with no head coaching experience

I don't understand this.... Either the guy is a good fit or he isn't. I don't need to see how well someone did at Dayton (Archie Miller), North Texas (Grant), etc...

Juwan Howard is the prototype.

He is the prototype? So we should be looking for guys who played two decades in the league, coached for multiple years and learned from two fantastic NBA coaches, and has a fair amount of name recognition even among recruits who weren’t alive during his college days? Sure sounds just like Q and Kellen and Hollis to me!

Quannas has been coaching basketball for like 16 years.... nobody made Juwan Howard go coach at a directional school and he has a 1 seed team.

He would get the program shut down

But perhaps in a blaze of glory

Haith is a good guy... I went to a lot of their games last season when the finished 1st in the American... They are intense... play really hard defense... Switch it up on defense a lot. He's good at switching from zone to man, and vice versa. Does a lot of pressure, traps, etc.

He looks to work inside/out on offense, which worked great when they had Martins Igbanu... He did a pretty good job with Idowu this year.

Between Igbanu and Horne (transferred to Colorado) he just didn't have the horses this year... but he's a good coach. I like his style. He would do well at OU.

The glory of more ncaa sanctions than tournament wins?
