Good News Re: Stevie Clark

We should remember that Oklahoma has 3 young men who should be ranked in the top 50 in the country if not higher, in Jordan Woodard, Stevie Clark and Jawaun Parker. When you talk about the PG position you have to remember that their are different types of PG. Stevie is a scoring PG and Jordan is your old school traditional pass first PG. Every school has decide which player fits their needs best. Oklahoma is lucky to have this kind of talent and we should enjoy these young men being in Oklahoma and not always look or try to say that one is better than the other.

As long as we get Parker and one of the two local pg's, I won't complain much.

Is Parker close to either Clark or Woodard? I've heard he is to both, but I may have gotten bad info. Who does Parker play AAU ball with?

this.

Kennedy, King, Yanish, Minor, Kermit Holmes, Evan Wylie, Terry Evans, Wayman Tisdale, Brent Price, and Vann all come immediately to mind as players from Oklahoma during the Tubbs era. I am sure there are more.

I meant to say OKC.

Of the ones you listed only Kennedy, Evans, and Vann were from the OKC area and Vann was a juco. Flowers was an El Reno kid, but he never made it to Norman.

Add Jeff Webster to the list of OKC kids recruited by Tubbs.

Why do you believe they should all be Top 50 kids? From what I've noticed Clark is the only with killer numbers while Woodard has had a lot of quiet games this season. - Something unheard of in a Top 50 kid.

I have seen them play AAU Ball as a team. I have followed them on the EYBL circuit and they are as good as any guards out there hands down. Clark and Parker will have better numbers because their teams run through them. As they go the team goes. Woodard plays on a team that runs sets and whoever has the best shot takes it. Also defense and playmaking ability doesn't always show up in the numbers.

I agree with you about the differing styles of Woodard and Clark. Any chance those three would go to the same college?

In my brief encounters with both kids I can tell you that they are high character individuals and winners.
