Ms. Jenner is legally a woman. A court of law has recognized both her name change and her gender change. Any other details about her transition and where it stands aren't really our business (that may sound preachy -- I don't intend it to).
I'm not trying to coopt this thread (and we can stop talking about this at any time, as far as I'm concerned) but for most, the transition process isn't just about having something removed (or having something surgically created). That's just one step in a lengthy process (hormone therapy plays a much larger role) and while some do opt for the surgical procedures, many others don't for any number of reasons (often including, but not limited to, financial factors).
Think of it this way: If the trans men I know walked into your place of business, you'd never know they were trans. (You'll have to take my word for this: These guys are straight-up dudes.) I don't think any of them have had surgery to create what they weren't born with, but believe me, you'd accept them as guys immediately. And most of them have married lovely women, too -- really lovely women. And they are finally comfortable in their own skin in a way they never were before.
So are they not men if they haven't had the surgery? You'd treat them as such if you met them at your workplace or in a social setting, and you'd never give a thought to what was in their trousers. You'd simply take it as face value that they were men.
Ms. Jenner is famous and her transition was public, but she deserves the same basic respect.
As I said, I am not trying to pirate this thread, so I'll leave it there.
