March Madness and Covid-19

It’s funny to see so many WOKE dems triggered every time POTUS tweets. That’s likely why he tweets so much. He’s trolling you.

It must be exhausting.

I didn't like Obama, but I dang sure didn't hang on his every word looking to get upset. I ignored him. I lived my life.

He isn't trying to say we shouldn't be testing. His statement is exactly how most Americans think. The numbers increase because we are testing more.

But isn't that a pretty clear cut false equivalency?

The numbers aren't increasing because we test more, the numbers increase because more people got the virus. If most American's think that way, well, gosh, I don't know how to say this nicely.....

Let's use it in another context.... Unemployment. What Trump is saying is that because people filed for unemployment, it makes our jobless rate look really high, and that if nobody filed unemployment we would "have almost no unemployment"... No, the jobless rate is high because people don't have jobs, not because they filed for unemployment. Filing for unemployment is how we know they lost their job.

It's a ridiculous position.

No, he isn't trolling. The fact that you think he is trolling is just you letting him off the hook for stupidity and insanity, by thinking what he posts aren't his real thoughts.

If we had a group of 1,000 people and only tested 100 of them and 10 of the people tested positive, the reported new cases would say 10.

But if we had that same group of 1,000 people at the same point in time and tested 200 of them and 15 people tested positive, the reported new cases would say 15.

15 is greater than 10 but that doesn't mean that it is worse.

How do you know the numbers are increasing because more people got the virus? This is impossible to know unless we have mandated country wide testing.

I'm really struggling with how this is a hard concept to grasp

People dictate their emotions and no one else. If something gets "under their skin" it is by choice. No one has to be happy or upset by anything if they so choose.

Panty waists cannot and will not be able to make the same claim. That's for damn sure.

No President in history has been this absurd, with the possible exception of Andrew Jackson, but he didn't have 24/7 media coverage.

It's not exhausting at all. I don't even have to do anything. He tweets and I get a notification on my phone... I read it, laugh, think about how dumb he is, and move on.

This time is historically significant... I get front row seats to this circus and get to watch this clown communicate in a way that no President has ever done before.

People who get their panties binded and soiled instantaneously should hold their judgement as to what constitutes trolling.

i think it is naive to think the POTUS doesn't tweet mostly for trolling. If he didn't get the reactions he did, he wouldn't tweet near as much

You can tell his objective is being met by the stance you illustrate. Don't worry, Bootsie, for you're not alone. And while you're at it quit trampling the tulips.

What "objective?" Are you saying POTUS is spending all day trolling people? Do you think that's a good use of his time? And what does the rest of you message even mean?

I think it's naive to think this is all some grand scheme of his. If it is, do you think that's a constructive use of his time?

I wouldn't call it a grand scheme but I do think it is calculated
I guess we will see in November if it was good use

Trying to understand the message here.

It seems like he is using an ignorance is bliss argument... If we don't test, we won't see how bad it is, and he won't look as bad. He is more worried about looking bad than knowing what the actual Covid-19 situation out in the public. Look at his wording.... If we didn't test, "we would be showing almost no cases"..... Why is this relevant to anyone? Who is this message for?

We are testing, we do have cases, what is the point of this message? Is he hoping his base reads this and says "yea, he's right! We would have no cases if magic was real!".... I don't get it. This is completely insane.

South Korea only has 12,000 confirmed cases and 277 total deaths. They are the model of success, and they do extensive testing.

What are you missing? It's a jab at other countries that didn't do as much testing, or aren't currently doing as much testing, and thus showing better numbers. You really didn't get that from his tweet?

It's not calculated, he is the most reactionary person I've ever seen. If he sees something on Fox News that gets his attention he immediately spews out a tweet... he does it ALL THE TIME. He's extremely impulsive and I don't think he's capable of calculation.

First of all it's a lie, our testing is not "so much bigger and more advanced than any other country." That's an incredibly stupid thing to say.

By the way, WTF does "so much bigger" testing even mean? It's just imbecilic.
