A national mask mandate would have been a disaster. How do you enforce it? To really enforce it you would have to use the militarized police force...which is something the left ant done away with

Some of what you say will fall on deaf ears mainly because some folks are for big government and they want the government to hold everyone's hands and tell them what is right and what is wrong and if this was done then clearly things would be better. Now the thing is people who believe this do not want something held. Their hands. Go figure.

There are literally people who think Covid is a hoax to hurt Trump in the election.

And what % of the population believes this? On the same level as "flat earth" proponents or the Elvis isn't dead crowd or Big Foot is alive and kicking believers or Jim Jones is God or Bill Gates is trying to create a virus vaccine which aims to depopulate the world. More, less?

Fauci, if I am not mistaken, admitted that he lied about the masks so that there would be enough masks for medical professionals, first responders, etc. He didn't want them completely gone like toilet paper, hand sanitizer, etc at the time.

I heard it directly from him on NPR, that he knowingly lied about that to protect the supply.

And a big thank you for stating the obvious. It's something which everyone should embrace.
 
All of this talk about the economy, and I think we haven't shown enough appreciation for what some of the democrats like Cuomo have done for it. Wiping out the nursing home population was a brilliant move to rid ourselves of that drain. Too bad we didn't implement that across the entire country.

Exactly. City of Tulsa has that mandate now. I can tell you, there are a LOT of people and places not playing by the rules. You know, kind of like all of the other laws we have that people don't follow.

And that is the city trying to enforce the city's law. How in the world is the city of Tulsa going to enforce a National mandate, when they can't even enforce their own? lol

How is that not worse? He knowingly lied to people about what was best for them and their health? Good Lord. That is terrible on so many levels.

When you're out to sea in the navy you don't get to "call 911" when you have an emergency. You must train to fight it yourselves. On a ship of 7,000 men we only had a few dozen sets of the full FFE (fire fighting ensemble) - and those were ALWAYS reserved for the repair locker fire teams and first responders FIRST. Same with anti-c's in contamination kits ... first responders must be accommodated first. What was left could be donned by others for safety.

This was taught at Gitmo (Cuba) for DC training as well as at the IAEA, NRC, and CDC schools for casualty response training. It is a standard, typical rule for emergent casualty control.

The very first moment that Fauci appeared on TV I listened to the interview and when he said "no masks for the public" I immediately shook my head. THEN he gave the context and caveat - we werent sure of mask numbers and needed to ensure first responders were accommodated. Then I nodded.

Taking this whole scene out of context portrays him as saying that the situation wasn't serious enough to merit wearing masks - which was not the issue in his mind at all. As I continue and continue and continue to stress ... and he acknowledged after ... that was NOT his meaning and trying to portray it that way is either ignorant or a lie. Ignorant in that the person doesn't know the context and the rules or a lie if they do.

Once you have been told of the context and rules furthering that becomes either a delusion or a lie. You and bounce et al no longer get to hide behind ignorance. So either recognize and
not be deluded or keep lying. Your choice. But the narrative you're advancing is wrong and you have been so informed.

Very few.

A lot of people think it is purposely overblown and scare tactics are used to suppress the economy to make trump look bad

And I think it would be naive to not believe this to an extent
