March Madness and Covid-19

NCAA tourney will be postponed or cancelled. It’s coming.

Carry on with the political BS. Or better yet, don’t.

I'm no legal scholar, but it could be argued that purposefully disseminating false or misleading info about a pandemic is akin to shouting "Fire!" in a crowded movie theatre.

Good grief demonicrats, can you please let this fake news story run its course and call for impeachment on it before we call for impeachment on another fake news story?!

Or should we just have Schiff break out the gavel for a second, a third, a fourth bite at the apple? Heck, we should just have Chuck U Schumer, Nancy Pelosi and their band of merry Demonicrats, in traditional Socialist\Communistic fashion, confiscate from a hardworking, conservative republican, a whole apple orchard for a smorgasbord of apple bites?,

However, you better hope the drive-by’s are as clairvoyant as some of the great “non-partisans” on this board. Only 8-9 months until your President, President TRUMP, is re-elected to his second term!

Did miss anything? I’m sure someone will point it out if I did.

You made my point for me and thank you for doing so in your first statement. The point is if I exaggerate something you cannot definitively assess that I am intending to deceive and mislead no more than anyone else. It is all a guess and a presumption. And I will continue to believe that a lack of respect for someone will hinder the objectivity that we have for others.

I disagree with you saying I cannot know if you intend to deceive. In the two cases made by politicians, you can know. Sure, I can only speculate when you make outrageous statements like eating a horse, but very rarely are these the types of lies told. Everyone knows the difference between an idiom and an intent to deceive.

If I say "I believe I can fly", it is so farfetched you don't actually believe me. It is an idiom.

If you told me if you like your doctor, you can keep them, with the intent of deceiving me, that is a lie.

If you told me, this is the largest crowd size ever. Period. with the intent of deceiving me from the truth that it wasn't, that is a lie.

Those can clearly be construed as trying to represent something that is not true.

I forgot one thing. Demonicrat is (c), (TM) and all that stuff. Cannot be used without expressed, written consent from paboomersooner.

I’ll even let you demonicrats use it. For a price. I’m an evil capitalist.

The ACC just announced they have suspended all members from competing in any athletics, including ncaa championships. It's a wrap, just a matter of time now

Yep. To quote a great philosopher, "If you don't know, now you know."

We are losing basketball so we need something else to yammer about and I think you know this.

Yeah, see what happens when we don't have Austin Reaves' shot selection or JB's lack of productivity to debate? Lol.

Some people are better at deceiving than others. Are you saying you were never taken and you had faith in someone when that is the last thing you should've had? It would not have materialized had you had that ability.

If you trust someone you are more likely to believe them while the opposite is true for those you distrust. So, it rests on trust and not an ability to ascertain an exaggeration as being taken at face value or not.

more ignorance.

from admin that part is fine ... but

I wonder what this means for baseball/softball players? Lost year? Any chance it can count as a redshirt (probably not). Crazy. Would blow to have passed up MLB draft last year only to play 18 games this year then be done.

Mark Few with some really interesting comments:
  • He and a consensus of coaches had spoken and wanted to postpone (not cancel) the tournament. Basically said take a breath and re-evaluate after another couple of weeks.
  • Also said to look at certain measures (athletes being tested and other safeguards that could be put in place) before making the final decision.
  • Said the NCAA didn't make the proper move.
