WARNING: Calling someone names and using questionable Internet slang is a good way to end the fun you’re having on this thread. Better not let it happen again.

Is your real name Hank Haney? Lol.

You summed up my swing on that first sentence, and despite the focus on technique, I never seem to feel like I am doing it the same, comfortably, each time.

I know a lot of it is just getting out there and hitting balls. I had a friend say just slow down. He said focus on old retired guys at the course, they can hit the ball well and straight, maybe not far, but their swings are slow and smooth, not trying to kill the ball.

Throwing the club will cause your elbows to feel like they are "snapping" as the ball is struck. It leads to an easily repetitive feel. Not to make it more difficult than it needs to be, but on the downswing the shoulders should slow down and this causes the club, hands and arms to actually pick up speed. It sounds counter-intuitive but that's how it works. This causes the shoulders to be square when the club is striking the ball. The inertia created will pull the shoulders through the strike zone. Many amateurs think the shoulders are to be forced through the swing starting at the top of the downswing and that is not the case. Slow them down, get them square, let the club do the rest.

This would have occurred regardless of what words other people have spoken. I am sure Japanese people were the target of racist remarks during WWII even though the sitting president was democrat and said nothing to spark it. Reasonable>unreasonable.

except start internment camps

The words spoken by the President matter. They can either be unifying or divisive, calming or intemperate. I’ll leave it at that.

Oh really? A guy would have screamed “CORONAVIRUS!” in her face if we weren’t going through this pandemic?

Also, that President is the same one that rounded up Japanese people and put them in interment camps so maybe that’s not the best example.

I doubt the racism "STARTED" after internment camps were erected or even mentioned. I am 100% positive it started on December 7th and this is obvious. Guaranteed. Once the news reports were filed that Pearl Harbor was attacked by the Japanese that instantly caused some to say "why those.......Japanese." This idea that the racism had to wait for interment camps is bunk. I mean after people saw what transpired they were motivated to hug Japanese people and tell them how nice they are? Preposterous! Just like racism towards Arabs was prevalent on September 11th.

Obama did not tell black people to burn down a suburb of Saint Louis, Milwaukee, Baltimore, Charlotte, Oakland and so on. It was the black people's perception which led to that.

You are missing my point as it relates to your innocent girlfriend. The wrath she was subjected to has nothing to do with Penn Avenue or anyone calling the virus this or that. If it were labeled as "virus" by all she still would have been verbally attacked. It is the arsewipes that are people. It is nothing new.

Only for sheep. Nothing Trump, Obama, or any other President says has much of an effect on me. Period. Be your own person. Looking to life long politicians or somebody of the sort to get a "calming" feeling? Can't relate.

We are not the same.

Exactly, whether you are a dem or repub, liberal or conservative, you can't let who is in office effect your outlook. And plenty of people on both sides are guilty of it. It's up to you to make your destiny. It isn't society's fault if you fail or succeed in your endeavors....it's the guy I look it at in the mirror every morning who, by in large, makes it or doesn't make it happen.

To think that my Papa goes to this dude's VA Hospital is more scary to me than the Coronavirus. For real.

It’s all good, we take great care of him. And BT is right, I need to relax. His comment just struck me the wrong way. Carry on...

Exactly. Never understood why people think relying on a total stranger, who might be a career politician, to mold their life and make it better is a stretch. I just don't like when people twist other people's words to suit their agenda and I don't care who does it for it is dishonest.

Many people do though, just check Facebook at any hour of the day. It’s the main reason I quit Facebook years ago.
