no starting pg to date looking like TJ Taylor.
Cade Davis
Cam Clark
Fitz
Gallon.

Not bad if we can get some pgs. I think we need 3.

Cade Davis was the starting 2 this season. Why would Pledger overtake him in his senior year?

He would have to be starting over Clark because he's not going to start over Davis.

why is everyone down on TJ at the point, ESPN has him listed as one of the top 20 PGs in the country. Scouts say he is more than capable running a team at the point...

I don't think it's a case of "being down" on TJ. Fans are thrilled he will be in a Sooner uniform next year. I know I am! At the same time, we also recognize that he is a combo guard and not a true point guard.

Even if he was, we still need another guard who can run the offense. I sure don't want to see a player forced to be on the floor the entire 40 minutes the way TMG was at the end of last season. That can wear a point guard down in a hurry, mentally and physically. Besides, competition for playing time is always a good thing.

Do we need 3 PGs, as DM suggested? If we could get three good ones I would take them. IMO, you can never have too many guards capable of running the offense. But I'll be happy if we sign just one. lol

I think TJ is going to make a much bigger impact then people think. He has a college ready body and game and I think he has a really good chance to be our stating 2 guard and average double digit points.

That being said he shouldnt be running the PG position for us.

I hope he doesn't have to play out of position, but he'd be a great back-up to spell whoevers is running the point. Is OU in on any pgs other than Carter and the kid from Vegas? Those are the only names I hear.
