Agreed. Usually, KU wins because the other team lacks discipline when they get into a deficit. We had the poise to stay in touch and make good plays.

That was the best Trae played all season. We kept our poise in the 2nd half and just chipped away at the lead. Manek is a superstar in the making. His shot is so smooth and his release is quick. He looks and kinda shoots like Larry Bird. When they can get him in strength and conditioning during the off season, the big 12 better look out he will be tough to stop. Great win and hopefully they got this thing corrected.

For a few minutes there I thought the basketball gods were against us when we had the chance to either tie or take the lead and we would turn it over. I was like why can't we beat KU but then everything finally fell into place.

LOVED the way the team cheered and picked Freeman up when he went to the bench after his hack-an-az stint. that was NOT a team lacking in chemistry. it made him smile too.

I hate the hack a whoever thing. But, it’s legal and strategic. Self should have pulled him.

If we execute during that stretch we win going away.

I think this win was MUCH needed in the confidence dept.
if Lattin and McNease ever figure it out we’ll be a super tough out.

It's not often you can say Self was outcoached in conference play, but he was tonight. Like you said, every player hung in there after some adversity.

That was the best move all night to foul him and make him beat us, which he couldn't. This team still has some things to work on but they are going to be hard to beat at the end of the season. Play within yourself and limit the stupid turnovers and we will be alright.

That's basketball. Make free throws at a rate a middle schooler would.

If there was anything classless, it was the OU student section chanting "USA" at Azubuike when he was shooting. I'm not positive that's what they were chanting so I can't say conclusively that their behavior was classless. But, if I did hear correctly, their behavior was classless.

The other thing that made that strategy so great on Lon's part was that it gave the team an extra shooter and allowed the team to play 5-out on offense, potentially opening up the lane. Freeman very nearly gave the team the lead if his 3 pointer hadn't rattled out.

Just as a goof, I invested about 10 minutes out of my life and went over to the Phog board. Well, as everyone pretty much knows, they are literally 100 times worse when they lose than we are here. They are actually worse than OU football fans when they lose, and that says a lot.

As another poster mentioned, they are roasting Self. Some of it is funny, but some is way over the top. There doesn't seem to be a lot of respect for him...pretty sad, actually. They are also blaming the officials, something we never do here after a loss
