Guys I’m just a football fan looking for a distraction. But this team is too frustrating and stressful for me to enjoy watching them. I’m checking out until the post season. Some will say good riddance. That’s cool. Gonna tune into some curling or something I don’t give a **** about.

This team is becoming less fun to watch as the season goes on....no doubt. Players just aren't progressing like they should.

Our lack of skilled basketball players is showing just like it did last year. With that their big was the biggest difference again tonight like last game.

OU may literally not make the NCAA tournament. If they don't get to AT LEAST 20 wins, they are not a lock. The fact they have played poorly the last 2 weeks does not help their case.

Nope. If they haven't learned to play defense or rebound at this point in their careers they never will. Trae needs to go get paid he's not winning anything here other than maybe POY

All year I've tried to be generous and hold off on calling us a one man team, but I can't any more. This supporting cast is going to end up wasting Trae Young's only season here.

No chance tonight when we get the road versions of Manek and James. 6-17 from the floor and 17 points between them. Feel bad for TY tonight having to do it all on his own.

Other teams best player just about every night. Doesn't matter how well he does stats wise, the stats don't cover the magnitude of his missed layups, terrible jump shots, missed blockouts, passes to the wrong team..

A senior got outplay by a sophomore. Konate schooled Lattin both at WV and tonight. If it is one on one, I pick Konate in a heartbeat.

Apparently, there is a different rule book when WVU plays defense than when everyone else plays defense.

I'm sick to death of teams that foul on 80% of their opponents possessions having only 17 fouls called on them.

THIS! It really curdles my stomach to watch Huggins team play. They play so in your face aggressive that they are playing the percentages that the officials won't want to blow the whistle every time down the floor, even though WV fouls on every possession, sometimes 3 or 4 fouls on the same possession!!!

They really ugly up a basketball game. And, as noted in this thread, the refs let them get away with it...:facepalm

Also, we 100% lost because our 1st half defense and nobody else scoring in the 2nd half. But how on earth can West Virginia play that style of defense on not get to the double bonus in either half?! Must be nice to be able to grab Trae all night and only have a third of them called.

exactly what I was thinking. I figured we'd at least get the benefit of our home shooting - yet we just keep missing open shot after open shot. And it wasn't WVU's sterling defense causing it either. We're just not tough and not aggressive. When Lattin threw that pass to Trae for the assist I couldnt believe was so timid as to dump that off. He wussed out. We've been wussing out the last few games.

Konate is right up there with Bamba and Azubuke for best center in the conference

Won't argue that at all. What really hurt in the second half is when WV couldn't make a shot in the first four minutes and we had every chance to take the lead or tie it and we did the same thing. The announcers said the teams combined were 1-19 from the field. This game we couldn't make the easy buckets like we had the last two games.
I thought the defense was better in the second half. Now all we need to do is to put together a complete game and get this team some confidence. We are really struggling right now.
