On to the lopsided in state basketball Series

At what point do you have to admit that OU just isn't a very good shooting team? They are 7th in the Big 12 in FG percentage and 6th in 3pt percentage, bottom half of the conference in both. I believe we have enough of a sample at this point.

I guess it just seems like OU is a good shooting team... because Doo and Manek hit jumpers all day long.

Luckily OU is playing one of the worse shooting teams in OSU history

It can be both:

OSU can be a bad team while acknowledging winning there isn’t necessarily “easy.” I think both are true. Road wins in college ball are tough to get. But on the scale, this is on the “easier” side because OSU is NOT a good team. We have 25+ games of evidence to come to that conclusion. They aren’t good. But we aren’t either. It’s a subpar team vs an average team. The subpar team is at home so that probably makes it a 50/50 game.

I don't think he ever bashes the program. Legit critique is not bashing. He (or she, whichever) is one of the best posters on the forum.

This opponent started out like 0-9 in league play... They are worthy of criticism.

Basically every one of his posts is negative, he disappears for long stretches when the team is playing well, and the only consistent subject of praise is a coach who left OU 14 years ago.

He never disappears.

Disappears completely, no. But Wichita is right in that he rarely has anything to say when OU wins. He’s as predictable as the sun rising in the east when we lose or when we’re not playing well.

I happen to agree with a lot WT has to say. Yes, OU should win tomorrow. I’ll be very disappointed if we don’t. I also know the best team doesn’t always win when it’s Bedlam, especially in Stillwater. He knows that, too, but it doesn’t fit the point he’s trying to make.

I expect my car to get me to work pretty much every day. After a successful trip, I rarely go into the office and say.. Guys! Guess what? My car got me here! It was awesome! Now, a few times that it broke down, I *****ed and moaned and wondered what the deal was...How can this happen, you're normally so reliable...? This is costing me more than I won at Bingo last night. I vent to the mechanic, and the car itself.

People vent.. Get over it!

That being said, it is ok to express some excitement with your fellow fans after a big win from time to time. Many perhaps are still waiting on that big win, though.

Good post.
But you'll still be called a troll here if you vent.

We call them observations and for some it sticks in their "craw" when people share their opinions. I would suggest some of these people hang out at the local hospital and see what type of spin they are willing to share with others. And "get over it" apparently doesn't sit well with the "woke" crowd.

Wow. I can't imagine, as a fan, ever viewing an OU win as equivalent to my car not breaking down on the way to work. You do you, but that's depressing.

LOL wow is right! Your inability to either understand(or just roll with) my point is even more depressing, but, pretty much par for the course.

I think I read a stat last week in NCAA basketball, the home team wins 67% of the time, and in conference play, the home team wins 76% of the time. It is the strongest home court/field advantage in all of sports. That is why an OU team that was .500 in league play was only a 3.5 pt dog to the #1 team in the country who had won 22 in a row.

OSU has played better in the last 2-3 weeks. You can say it is only 4-5 games, but it is what they are doing now. Tomorrow is not a guaranteed win and admitting that doesn't mean we are accepting mediocrity. It means we are accepting reality . It would be a tough game to win if we are 16-10 or if we were 20-6 and were .500 on the road.
