SATURDAY'S GAME BASICS
No. 6/6 Oklahoma will play its final game of the 2015-16 regular season at TCU on Saturday, March 5, at noon CT. OU, which is 23-6 overall and 11-6 in the Big 12, is in its fifth season under head coach Lon Kruger. The Horned Frogs are 11-19 this season (2-15 Big 12) and are under the direction of Trent Johnson, who is in his fourth campaign in Fort Worth.

Saturday’s contest will air on the Sooner Radio Network (KRXO 107.7 FM “The Franchise” in Oklahoma City; KTBZ 1430 AM in Tulsa) with Toby Rowland and Scott Thompson announcing. Oklahoma’s final game of the regular season will be televised by ESPNEWS with Jason Benetti and Reid Gettys calling the action.
GAMEDAY STORYLINES
• SCENE SETTER: No. 6/6 Oklahoma will play its final game of the 2015-16 regular season at TCU on Saturday, March 5, at noon CT. OU, which is 23-6 overall and 11-6 in the Big 12, is in its fifth season under head coach Lon Kruger. The Horned Frogs are 11-19 this season (2-15 Big 12) and are under the direction of Trent Johnson, who is in his fourth campaign in Fort Worth. Earlier this season, the Sooners downed the Horned Frogs in Norman on Feb. 2, 95-72. Overall, Oklahoma owns a 17-2 advantage in the all-time series, including a 7-1 mark in Fort Worth.
• THAT'S A WRAP: Saturday marks OU's final game of the 2015-16 regular season. The Sooners won 20 games for the fourth consecutive season under Kruger. With a win Saturday at TCU, Oklahoma would already equal last season's 24 total victories heading into the postseason. Seven of OU's 23 wins this season have come against teams ranked in the AP Top 25 (second-most in Big 12).
• SERVING TREYS: OU currently ranks third nationally in 3-point field goal percentage (.428) by hitting 308-720 of its shots from downtown. Oklahoma’s all-time record for 3-point field goal percentage in a campaign is .414 (1986-87). OU has connected on at least 10 treys in 19 games this year (a school record) and it’s 10.6 3-point makes per game ranks fourth nationally (first in Big 12). OU’s starting five is averaging 44.1 percent from 3-point range (262 for 594, Hield has 121 of those makes).
• BUDDY BUCKETS: Senior Buddy Hield is currently averaging 25.3 points per game, which ranks first in the Big 12 and second nationally (first among Power 5 conferences). The reigning Big 12 Player of the Year has scored at least 20 points in 21 games this season and his 47.6 percent (121-254) shooting from downtown ranks third in the country. His 4.17 3FGM per game is tops in the nation. The Bahamas native has nine games of at least 30 points this season (same total as the rest of Big 12 combined) and 11 total such games in his career at Oklahoma.
• STEADFAST SOONERS: Oklahoma isn’t short on experience or leadership this season. OU’s quartet of Isaiah Cousins, Buddy Hield, Ryan Spangler and Jordan Woodard have each started every game (97 total) for OU the past three seasons, tallying 388 combined starts during that span. With the addition of Khadeem Lattin (29 starts), OU boasts a starting five with 444 combined career starts.
FIVE FAST FACTS ON THE HORNED FROGS
• The Horned Frogs are led in scoring by Chauncey Collins and Malique Trent, who are averaging 11.8 and 11.7 points per game, respectively. The team is led on the boards by Karviar Shepherd (5.5 rpg) and in assists by Trent (2.7 apg).
• Sophomore guard Chauncey Collins has scored in double figures in each of his last four outings, averaging 18.3 points during that span. He has also been perfect from the free throw line in three of the past five games and 11 times overall this year.
• Sophomore guard Malique Trent has eight steals over the last two contests and has 10 outings overall with three or more thefts this season. He has scored in double digits in four of his past five contests.
• In the last 17 games, TCU has played 11 opponents that were either ranked or receiving votes in the top 25 polls. The Horned Frogs have limited 13 foes below 70 points during the 2015-16 season.
• TCU head coach Trent Johnson is wrapping up his fourth season in Fort Worth and owns a 49-77 with the Horned Frogs. In 17 years total as head coach, he also has stops at Nevada (1999-04), Stanford (2004-08) and LSU (2008-12).
