*****OU-Texas Tech Pregame Notes/Predictions/Game Thread*****

I think the term for 35 minutes of this game is lethargic. In all categories, no one looked interested except for Je'lon, but only when we were losing by 20 at home to a mediocre team.

I thought it might be a long night when our point guard goes to the line early in the game and misses two free throws.......He scored one bucket at the end of the game. Terrible loss. Nobody seemed ready for this game.

Maybe they should slap the floor again. That seems to work well.

Gawd I hate the "slapping the floor" stuff. First, it reminds me of Duke (gag)...and second, you had better damn well be a good defensive team if you're going to do that. And we are hemispheres from being a good defensive team.

That comes next year.

It's worthless and looks stupid.

I really believe if Cousins makes the uncontested layup and cuts the lead to two, OU wins the game.

Too bad, but like another poster said, "Both teams got what they deserved tonight."

And let me follow that by saying this. There are a lot of things that create excitement in a bb program but there's one thing that destroys it and that's losing to BAD teams at home. You want better crowds? You can't let things like this happen. All the things that have helped build up just a little bit of crowd support are now wasted.

Sports is not always Candyland, teams don't always win when expected to win.

This is an exciting young team that plays a fun brand of basketball to watch. The reality is that only 5,000 people showed up to watch one of the best 30 teams in college basketball and that's sad.

Sometimes crowds help teams get jumpstarted when they need a boost and OU got ZERO help from its fans tonight.

100% agree with you. OU basketball isn't OU football either and unless they win and probably win big they won't get the support they deserve. A big part of this I blame on the city of Norman... But that's an arguement for another day.

This is why I think ... Maybe in some small way a new arena would help create some excitement for the team. Something new for people to see, enjoy and be proud of. Just a thought. Probably still wouldn't have helped us make a three pointer or a free throw in the first half!

Lol I think you're looking for Chess, not Candyland.

Regardless, it was just a bad game. The team came out flat, and we couldn't hit shots. Missed layups. Missed free throws. Just gotta put that one behind us.
