Villanova and Oklahoma will play a neutral-site game Dec. 7 in Hawaii in honor of the 74-year anniversary of Pearl Harbor, sources told CBSSports.com.

Specific details of the game are expected to be announced soon, but it's likely this game will have a similar feel to previous college basketball games that have taken place on the grounds of the US Military.

Villanova returns five of its top eight scorers from this past season's team, which went 33-3 and were a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. Unfortunately, the Wildcats lost in the Round of 32 to NC State. The Wildcats are also welcoming in freshman Jalen Brunson, who is arguably the top point guard in the Class of 2015.

Oklahoma returns four starters from the 2014-15 squad that went 24-11 and lost to Michigan State in the Sweet 16.

Both squads are projected to be ranked in the top 10 at the start of next season.

I want to go!

Another GREAT trip for the players. Atlantis last year, Hawii this year, plus another tourney to hawii next year as well??

Annnnd merge please :-)

Nah, no need to merge the two threads. This is a slow time of the year, plus a trip to Hawaii is worthy of its own thread.

I would love to go to that game. My wife and I have been to Oahu, Kaui and Maui, the best vacations of our life. The Hawaiian Islands are great! GO, if you get the chance.

Going to be a wicked schedule, Nova, Memphis, Wisconsin, SEC Challenge, the Diamond Head ...

So what is Hawaii like in early December? lol

Might have to check into that.

It's very nice, been there over Thanksgiving the last 3 years. Mid-70s to lower 80s most of the time, only worry is rain.

Can't believe they couldn't make it Arizona and Oklahoma for a Pearl Harbor game.

My wife and I were in Maui two years ago the first and second week of December. The weather and our stay couldn't have been better. I highly recommend it if you can see your way clear to make the trip. We hope to go back soon, so maybe we'll join you in Ouha.

If you go, don't spend your entire time on Ouha, though. Honolulu is too commercialized to suit me. I like the somewhat laidback, quieter islands of Maui and Kauai. Truly paradise on earth as far as I'm concerned!
