** OU vs Kansas State game thread**

Why does anyone really expect him to be that good? He's probably not any different from Cade as far as his skills go yet for some reason people expect more from him.
You make a good point. They are both role players.

Maybe so. However, I would bet you that if/when Pullen skipped study hall, or practice, or refused to taped so he walked out of practice, he was benched. Martin has been on Pullen's case from day 1 and has been very hard on Pullen. Much harder than Capel ever was on TMG from what I can tell.

Like I say, I don't recall any instances with Pullen getting a T during a game because he made a bad decision on a shot when they had a chance to make it a 1 possession game. If I am wrong, please correct me. Maybe something like this happened with Jacob last year or the previous year when he was younger, in fact it probably did because has been a bonehead at times.

I heard a radio interview with Martin earlier in the season and he admitted he was very hard on Pullen but also credited Pullen for not leaving and for wanting the discipline. You have to credit a kid like that, and that is what I am doing. I love his toughness and would love to have him on our team.

I agree with everything that you said. That is why I can live with Blair making boneheaded mistakes in his 1st yr ever, of D-1 ball. I believe that Blair will be a very solid PG before he leaves Norman....

Well...the difference is Pullen is a much better basketball player than Blair. Even 2 years ago, when Pullen was a soph he was a great shooter, but he played the 2 with the Puerto Rican kid at PG.

I wasn't really trying to compare Pullen and Blair when I made the comment that I wish Blair would do his talking on the court like Pullen does (now) instead of talking trash during a dead ball.

I think both can be a bit better than role players. But that's not too far from being the truth.

I don't care what Capel has said about Pledge being a pure shooter. On the court he's been about a 30% shooter from 3 from day one.
