OU vs KU 8pm CST ESPN2

Whatever, I can find 500 posts just like this over the season from everyone on here except the sunshine pumpers, you are just choosing this one to emphasize - my opinion,. My eyes don’t lie. I didn’t say anything about him personally just about his game and just that his game and mentality is Not what I want on My Sooners basketball team or any other Sooner team I follow and support.

my post wasn't a sugestion

Everyone shut up and talk trash on kansas

There are a couple of gems in their game thread on Phog:

"This broadcast sounds like an obituary, and rightfully so."

"An embarrassment of basketball resources from top to bottom, only to look like an average JUCO team."

"Sounds like Poppovich is about to hang it up with the Spurs. Kinda hoping Self gets offered the Spurs job by his old buddy RC Buford and takes it. The magical ride at KU is over. NCAA sanctions are sure to follow this abortion of a season. It’s going to get ugly. Probably time to reset."

And my favorite: "Which mid-major team beats us in the 1st round?

Probably our best game of the year, particularly on defense. Kansas got few good shots and missed a lot of them.

Offense was also good. Didn't like the quick trays in the last part of the second half when a better strategy would have been to run some clock and try to get a better shot. Best all-around game of the year for both Doolittle and Manek.

Good start for next year.

I usually turn down the sound on national broadcasts because of all of the hype and showmanship but I did turn it up at the end and was disapointed to hear all about how great a run by Kansas and little recognition of the great game OU played. Kansas deserves a lot of credit for thier long success but no one seemed to recognized that they got crushed. Unfair to guys like Doolittle, Manek and Bieniemy.

I was a little peeved about that as well. They showed last night the type of scoring game they could put up on any night. They deserved some kudos.

Yes need more cringe porn from their board instead of the dumbassery over here

Still shocking that the guru’s say at 7-11 in league we are in. Call me old school but I think teams should have a 500 record to make it. Maybe it is our out of conference that helps. I like that we will get in but don’t know that I agree with the process

This had me rolling

It's not unusual that some posters can always find something negative to complain about - even after a big win. What's unusual is that the moderators put up with the hateful, sarcastic remarks about players and coaches.

It's possible to offer constructive criticism without acting like the north end of a southbound mule. Even dumb animals can be trained so I'm sure that some timeouts and pointed advice from the moderators would do wonders for some of our posters.

So if we lose 2 more out of conference games such as wofford, florida.. but then win 2 more conference games instead, and end up with the exact same overall record but were 9-9 in conference. you would feel totally different about our teams merit for the tournament??

Depends on the conference wins. If they are Iowa State and Baylor, for example, I'd say that helps you more than Wofford and Florida. The wins happen more recently which helps perception of how well you are playing, and the wins are better anyway.

Either way it doesn't matter, OU is in.

It doesnt matter who theyre against in that posters analysis. Its straight conference record, regardless. I wanna hear his response to that scenario

I think he used Wofford and Florida because they were Q-1 wins.....and two wins against Baylor would also have been Q-1 wins.....I believe. For some reason, people still believe that 9-9 in conference combined with a 10-3 non-conference somehow has more prestige than 7-11 in conference combined with a 12-1 non-conference record.......despite absolutely no difference in Q-1 wins.

In addition to that, our best win of the year (according to NET) is...you guessed it....Wofford. It's really a lack of understanding of how the process works in 2019.

I too think conference games should matter more. Those are your peers, so to speak. You should be able to compete against your conference foes.

Doesn't matter this year, OU is in, I get that. But I think conference games are a much better measurement of a team than OOC games. Even good OOC games.

Differences in talent between conference make this impossible. Going .800 in the SoCon isn’t the same as .800 in the Big 12.

I get what you are saying, but I don't think it matters for what I'm arguing.

My argument is that if you can't approach a .500 record or better in your conference, no matter the conference, you probably don't belong in the Dance.

I'm not saying a 9-7 record in the Big 12 is the same as a 9-7 record in the American. Or the Colonial.

We shouldn’t be punished for being in a great league. You should get rewarded. Just like this year.
